OSCP Bootcamp (Live-Online)

I went into this bootcamp knowing the Olga from a previous cohort. At the time she was an assistant instructor, but for this class she was the lead instructor. Her guidance and knowledge helped me pass the final and I'm more confident in my methodology when approaching boxes and labs.After passing the Evolve Security Academy final exam, I'm excited to attempt the OSCP in the next couple of months.I highly recommend this class to anyone who is struggling with understanding concepts or techniques in the PEN-200 course.The only con I would mention is that I would've liked to have more designated time to the material. The cohort is 8 weeks long and we met Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday with 3 1-hour office hours times throughout the weeks. Although the instructors were available to be reached out to, I would've benefited from more time with the instructors to go over what I was struggling with during that week.

Pros: The course was amazing, it created a solid push for me to obtain the OSCP certification. I've acquired new and valuable skills and techniques, which will be surely helpful for me in the future career. Other than that, I've met new friends, who shares the same goals, we talked and shared things with each other, which meant a lot to me.   After the course, I felt like my knowledge was strongly consolidated and was ready to tackle the exam.[Update April 2024]: I passed the OSCP with 90 points.Cons: There is one small thing that I'd recommend, is to update the CyberLab platform, I perceived that some of the contents aren't up-to-date. For example, Buffer Overflow has been announced to be removed from the OSCP exam; therefore, it might not relevant unless there is a public exploit available for it. The Control Panel features can be further improved, especially, the search function. I couldn't search for the machine name at the time I did the course.Overall, I'd give a solid 4/5. There is also another giveaway, as always, OSCP is not meant for new comers to penetration testing, as the bootcamp is really intensive, so the amount of knowledge is also huge. Therefore, build a solid foundation in penetration testing before taking the bootcamp so that you can make the most out of it.`

I really enjoyed the class.  It is run by a great group of instructors who really want you to succeed.  They take the time out to answer even the most nagging questions you might have floating around.   I recommend this class for anyone who wants to get into Penetration Testing and pass the OSCP.  It gives you tons of hands on and you get access to Offsec Learn One for a year as well.  PEN-200 but you get so much more to practice on like proving grounds etc.  If your serious, then this is your class.  Enjoy and good luck to you all.

Overall, fantastic boot camp I have ever taken so far! Great job to Evolve team, skilled instructors and TA, and awesome peer collaboration environment. Kudos !! I highly recommend this boot camp to anyone considering a serious start in cybersecurity.  

If you're willing to put in the work and spend hours learning the material; this Boot Camp will pay off.  The team at Evolve Security provided the structure I needed to stay focused and get my OSCP.  We did have an instructor change half way through bit they recovered well and it did not interfere with the flow of the course.  The team cares about the students and makes themselves available at all hours.  They have a little work to do with the new changes to the exam but I am confident they'll adjust.

When beginning to study for the OSCP, I wish I had known about this course because it was exactly the stepping stones I needed to learn the material. It gave me a good foundation of all the concepts that OSCP covers and I enjoyed doing it. The teachers are extremely helpful and are always willing to answer your questions or point you in the right direction. It is a good in between of hand holding and tough love you need to gain the knowledge of a Penetration tester. 

The Evolve Security Academy OSCP Bootcamp was a very skill-oriented program that helped me learn the ins and outs of what it means to be a pen tester. The best part of the program was getting to participate with seasoned instructors on hacking networks and machines. Nothing was setup ahead of time for them to succeed. They approached the boxes cold just like I did, so I got to watch how their minds worked, the rationale they had for using certain tools above others in different situations, and what they did when they struggled - as everyone does. It was an excellent experience. I learned a lot and am sure my company is more secure now.

The overall OSCP bootcamp has been amazing. I took the OSCP before and failed. With going through the Evolve Security bootcamp I feel a lot more confident. The labs and the instructors are extremely well thought out and professional. The best part is the live interaction I had with the instructors and going through the OSCP like machines. ​

Being able to work through boxes together with people from different backgrounds and skill levels was an invaluable experience that truly changed the way I approach boxes and my overall penetration testing methodology.

My time in Evolve Academy's OSCP bootcamp was amazing from start to finish. The lead and assistant instructors were very knowledgeable and willing to take time from their day to troubleshoot any issue that came up. I was able to network and study with like minded people with a passion for penetration testing and cybersecurity in general. Some of the students were also every day penetration testers that were able to transfer and share knowledge in a very convenient way. I would recommend this to anyone seeking to pass the OSCP, start their career in cybersecurity, or expand their knowledge in penetration testing!
