As a complete beginner with zero coding experience, The Tech Academy's Full-Stack Software Developer program gave me a strong, practical foundation in tech. The self-paced format let me dive in deeply and learn at my own rhythm, covering HTML/CSS, JavaScript, Python, C#, .NET, and more through hands-on projects and pair programming that felt like real collaboration. Instructors were super responsive and supportive via email/Discord and always patient when I needed help. The curriculum built confidence step by step, with clear explanations and plenty of real-world practice—an excellent choice for motivated beginners. I highly recommend it and believe they deserve a 5/5!

Overall I had a great experience at the The Tech Academy. I recently graduated from the Software Developer Bootcamp. I am currently working with Job Placement to get hired. I learned many programming languages and frameworks and graduated with plenty of knowledge and experience to get hired in the field. Tech Academy has a robust curriculum that can take even the most novice students with no coding experience and give you the tools to be a legitimate developer. They have very encouraging and motivated staff that are ready and available to help out when needed. This was a very intensive program(that is the whole point of a Bootcamp) where you must really be dedicated and willing to put in the time and effort to succeed. With so many lower cost options The Tech Academy can get quite expensive. That being said, there are so many lower cost options that you may dip your toe into the pool of software development but The Tech Academy is really a one-stop shop if you are really serious about being a full-fledged developer. Their curriculum is very extensive. It at times can get a bit repetitive with some of the content but also it is a way to really make the information sink-in. I had a great experience at The Tech Academy and would highly recommend to anyone who is serious about jumping into this field.

The Tech Academy is a great place to start your journey in software development. I recently completed the Software Developer boot camp and I couldn't be happier. It starts off with basics of computers and how they work. Then you get into the basics of multiple languages like Python, JavaScript, and C#. The job placement course is amazingly helpful with creating your resume and cover letters. The only con is that the course gets a little repetitive at times. The projects that you create give you great fundamental information and room to expand your knowledge. The job placement staff are incredibly helpful with tips on applications and how to continue to improve your skills.
Graduate 2024
Instructors were always quick to respond and gave thorough assistance. Job placement is extended and very helpful. Coursework is overall very practical on what it teaches you, only issue with it is some of it is difficult to sit through (like the longer videos, you have to walk away and come back to, it's not a big deal though)

I recently accomplished a significant milestone in my life—I graduated from the Software Developers Bootcamp at The Tech Academy. Now, armed with coding skills, I can confidently say that my dream of learning how to code has become a reality. Having spent a lifetime working with my hands, I reached a point where I realized that the physically demanding nature of my work couldn't be sustained indefinitely. Initially, I grappled with the notion that I might be too old to embark on a new path, but I soon dispelled that misconception. My journey began with thorough research, scouring reviews, and exploring relevant keywords. I delved into videos and podcasts, leaving no stone unturned. The conclusion? I am overjoyed to report that my decision to choose The Tech Academy was undoubtedly the right one. A closer examination reveals that they stand head and shoulders above the competition, having meticulously crafted a program that sets them light years ahead. The team at The Tech Academy is not just a group of professionals; they are a fantastic bunch of individuals who have considered every aspect of the learning experience. From the initial interview to the final instructor, each person is dedicated to imparting the knowledge necessary for success in the rapidly evolving tech industry. Their kindness, expertise, and professionalism shine through at every step.In the dynamic world of technology, The Tech Academy emerges as an unparalleled choice. Take a moment to compare, and you'll realize that their commitment to excellence and comprehensive approach make them the optimal choice for anyone aspiring to thrive in the tech sector.

This is a fantastic Boot Camp. I went in after losing my job, just married and having only done Sales. I was good with Technology but anything with Programming or Development was foreign to me. I explored quite a few Boot Camps and chose this one due to its location, pricing, (a bit pricy BUT WORTH it) and teacher involvement. The program really focused on helping you develop the skills needed to think like a software developer. It provided an easy road map to gauge my progress and simple steps to go through the different projects and lessons they have. Almost all material that is shared is authentic and created by The Tech academy, which made me feel more like I was taking a unique program instead of a copy paste of third party video's like other boot camps have done. The staff was really quick to help me work through the projects and where always around when I had questions (even on the weekends I'd get answers sometimes). By the end of the course I not only felt a little more knowledgeable about programming languages BUT I felt that I could confidently think like a programmer especially when facing situations or challenges that where beyond my knowledge. I'd say it was worth every dollar to have this confidence.

Personally I recommend this school to anyone who is thinking about a career in technology. They teach you so much and actually want you to succeed. I enjoyed how please they were to help if you needed, anytime I did ask for help I was never made to feel not enough. They have a great teaching system. My live project would be the highlight of my time there, it was honestly one of my most favorite experiences. I learned so much and it really gives you the experience you need. They help you in any way they can. As a mom, it’s convenient to be able to make my own schedule that worked for me.

Hello, I am a very recent graduate from the Tech Academy and let me just say.. What an amazing experience! I have learned so much throughout this boot camp, from the basics of how a computer works externally/internally to how to use and run a database. I took this boot camp because I wasn't sure if college was the right path for me and I knew I wanted to get into tech I couldn't believe how amazing it was, from the knowledge I learned to the great instructors who helped me even the silliest of questions. This is a great school and coming from someone who completed it and is very happy with the results I couldn't recommend it more to anyone who is even slightly interested in going into tech. 10/10 experience!
Graduate 2023
I started with ZERO tech knowledge. The Tech Academy (TTA) was a great place to learn the basics and get lots of hands on practice. I completed the curriculum for the Software Engineering and the Cyber Security Bootcamps. The Software Engineering was spectacular - it covered the basics of HTML, CSS, Python, C#, JavaScript, SQL Server, and a ton more. There is so much to learn out there, but if you don't know where to start, I highly recommend TTA. The instructors were fantastic - they were available on weekdays until 7pm, and I took FULL advantage of that fact. But they were always helpful and friendly- I'm going to miss them now that I've finished. As someone who asks a LOT of questions, I couldn't imagine going through another institution where you get limited access to a support team. Being able to share your screen to quickly debug a problem was essential to my learning experience. If you are considering the self taught route, but are A- someone who overthinks things and can get lost in details, B- someone who procrastinates, or C-someone who asks a lot of questions then I highly recommend a bootcamp with TTA.

Choosing the right boot camp was a very difficult decision. I chose The Tech Academy Software Developer Boot Camp based on the content they taught, their awards for Best Boot Camp, and the friendly initial interaction with the staff. Instructors were always standing by (during their extensive available hours) to help me when I got stuck. They also teach you how to teach yourself, and where to look when problems arise. Having graduated, I immediately saw how much it paid off. So many job listings are looking for the exact skills that were focused on in this boot camp. Overall, I couldn't have made a better choice than The Tech Academy to learn software development.

The journey from having little coding knowledge, to graduating the boot camp, to getting my first software developer job has been one of my hardest. But if you use all of the resources that the Tech Academy provides, you will get there. I am testament to that having just accepted a fantastic software developer job offer! The instructors were always so helpful and if not available immediately to help you would get back to you within minutes. The curriculum was great, covering all the important tools and topics that you will use on the job. It also covered computer science concepts giving a well rounded education. It was great having the support of the Job Placement team. It wasn't easy getting my first dev job but they were always there to pick me up, and to practice interviewing with etc. All new terms were explained before watching a video which made understanding it much easier. If you use everything The Tech Academy provides and are determined you will succeed just like myself!
Graduate 2022
I graduated from the Software Developer Bootcamp from the Tech Academy in 2022. As part of the bootcamp I completed courses on the following topics:-Computer and Technology Basics-Version Control-HTML and CSS-Javascript-Database and SQL-Python-Project Management-Visual Studio-C# and .NET-Job PlacementEach of these courses emphasizes fundamental knowledge that is important for understanding the larger concepts of software development. I was really pleased with the structure and design of the curriculum. Each course is very careful to work in order from simple to complex topics, with each lesson/assignment building on your previous knowledge. While there is a lot of reading and watching videos, there's also a lot of hands-on coding. In addition to each of these courses, there are also two live projects. These projects happen over the course of two weeks and are meant to simulate and actual job environment. You work as part of a team of developers (other students) to complete tasks related to a larger project. Those tasks are assigned to you by a project manager (your instructor). You participate in daily meetings conducted according to agile/scrum methodologies to report on your work, discuss roadblocks, and get feedback from your project manager. I really enjoyed these projects as they gave me the chance to put my skills to the test in life-like environment.Overall, the software development bootcamp helped me gain a strong understanding of object-oriented programming and prepared me to be an entry-level full stack developer in the tech industry. I'm really happy with my choice and grateful to the Tech Academy for the opportunity they've given me.

The Tech Academy has changed my life forever ,thanks. The Tech Academy does an OUTSTANDING job in providing a highly interactive and properly organized curriculum. The daily reports to weekly reports and being able to get ahold of an instructor in such a short notice is what kept me accountable and made me feel i was apart of the team. Apart from the outstanding curriculum, the instructors and all Tech Academy family is what made my experience becoming a well-rounded Software Developer such an enjoyable process. I am more than equipped and prepared for my new life in the tech industry, but also was taught by the Tech Academy to become a professional in communication, respect for others and valuing others. I recommend The Tech Academy to all joining the tech world and for those wanting an intrigueing new perspective on what you already know.

I attended the online Software Developer Boot Camp at The Tech Academy, and I cannot speak highly enough about my experience. I appreciated the flexibility of their self-paced program; it allowed me to move through easier concepts faster and take more time on subjects that were more challenging for me. Once you complete your first Front-End course, you will start applying those skills right away by building your online Developer Portfolio, and you’ll keep adding to this and enhancing it as you work your way through the boot camp.
My favorite parts of the entire boot camp were the two Live Projects which resemble an actual work environment and really helped me gain confidence in my skills. The Live Projects really tie everything together, and you will pretty much use everything you learn in the bootcamp during each one. The Version Control and Project Management courses are excellent preparation for each of the Live Projects.
Any time I reached out to any of the instructors they were patient, supportive, and pointed me in the right direction without spoon-feeding me the answers. The Job Placement course and team are an invaluable resource that will get you well-prepared to hit the ground running for interviews. From Admissions all the way through Job Placement, it’s clear that The Tech Academy really wants their students to succeed.
Although it’s not a requirement to graduate, I also highly recommend that you take part in their weekly in-person or online Tech Talks through Meetup where professionals working in the industry offer tips on how to get into and succeed in tech.

I have so many good things to say about The Tech Academy. From the beginning I felt valued; the staff stayed connected and really invested time into my future. The bootcamp setup is such that all the materials are online, ready for you to access. Concepts are repeated in a variety of ways: readings, videos, assignments, etc. It worked really well for me because I studied in and around my kids' nap schedules and wife's school schedule. The instructors are like tutors that you have instant and unlimited access to. You check in with program directors each week to make sure you are doing well and have everything you need. In terms of content, the material is a good balance of simplicity and thoroughness. I came from a non-technical background, so that was really positive. The Software Developer program is amazing. It prepares you to be a full stack developer, but focuses on the back end, which was perfect for me. If you don't know what you want to do, do this one, but they have a boot camp for almost anything now, and they are all great. I got a job after doing this program as a Software Engineer, so I'd have to say that it works! In short: - Knowledgeable staff - They treat you really well - Simple yet thorough curriculum - Many different courses - It works!

I am a recent graduate of The Tech Academy and I would like to tell you how great of an experience it was. Not only was the program set up to accommodate my tumultuous schedule (as a single father of 2 young children it is pretty touch and go somedays..) , the material is designed to be relatable and easily digestible. I came into this boot camp with zero programming experience but walked away confident in my new found skills. The team of instructors, directors, and general staff members has been friendly and extremely helpful. Even during the pandemic when most of us feel isolated in our homes I was able to reach out to The Tech Academy team to answer just about any boot camp related question I had and get almost immediate attention. I would highly recommend any soul looking for a career change to consider software development and then immediately point them to The Tech Academy to teach them the basics of what is needed to succeed. I feel that The Tech Academy has done right by me, and more importantly, continues to do right by me. I would happily endorse their program to anyone and everyone.

The Tech Academy was well worth my time and money and allows one the credentials and know-how to find your way around the world of software development. It is more of a broad, shallower dive into multiple languages and paradigms vs. going into depth on one or two languages. They have many paths one could take depending on the career you would like to have. I went down the Full-Stack Software Developer Boot Camp path and it really gave me a sense of the field. You need to make sure you do a ton of self-studying to fill in gaps in any knowledge as a lot of information is abstracted away, more of the details, that is, and you are given a general understanding and introduction to web, version control, and C styled languages. Also included are Python and Visual Studio. There are actually two Live Courses that have you develop customer products in a two-week sprint, respectively. There are, however, 4 available if you finish early enough to have an extra 4 weeks to complete the 2 on top of the 2 mandatory ones. I'd highly suggest you try and go this route as more exposure to real codebases and working in an Agile environment can only help. The only other advice I'd give is, right from the start, make sure to beef up and keep organized, your GitHub repos and side projects. When applying to jobs, companies don't want to see school projects unless they are substantial, so take on a few substantially sized projects that you eventually deploy and can put on your resumé and show off to potential employers.
