Poor quality courses, great chatbot

I spent two months doing udacity courses. Their free front end courses are pretty ok (Intro to HTML and CSS, Version Control with GIT, Shell Workhop, also intro to JavaScript). Once I began backend programs the quality took a nosedive. The free Intro to Backend class is incredibly dated and seems to have recieved only occasional bandaid attention over the last ten years (still using python 2.7). Their chatbot was super helpful in answering questions to figure out just how ot of date the course was. Also, exceedingly helpful on filling out details not covered in courses. For paid content I only took the Full Stack Web Developer nanodegree program. Minor bug were frequent: most multiple choice quizes do not accept the correct answers (though there are links to test walkthroughs to review your own test), ran into some notes left inside course material for the udacity dev team. Most of all the course had been edited and reorganized so that instead of working with a program you've previously built and are familiar with to learn new material, you would actually work with an unfamiliar program that you have to cobble together without context by pausing videos at key moments to copy code. Also some sections of the course are referenced that nolonger exist (which I know becasue the chatbot told me, the chatbot is very helpful). All in all, it's a gamble between getting a 4/5 class or a 2/5 class that's just very poorly maintained. Also poor customer service. After over a dozen bug reports I asked for a refund for the month that I was just a few days into due to all of the issues. Turns out they recieve any of the feedback via the "Give Page Feedback" form, and extended my access to the course i didn't want as a response.

very nice program

It's a very nice program, but also challenging 🌹There are useful references and professors who explain well, when I submit the projects I catch what I've been missing out on It was a very wonderful experience with Udacity and I am definitely honored to have a certificate from them ♥

Great way to build a foundation

I loved how easy it was to follow the lesson plans. While the course is not advanced, it gives us the tools needed to take our foundations elsewhere and continue learning more advanced concepts. I thought online courses were dreadful, but Udacity has done an excellent job keeping me engaged.

hands on project

It's been great so far.Though there were moments when it all seemed overwhelming, I kept moving and I'm glad I finished the first project. And I'm ready to learn more and face the next challenge.

The program is extremely good, it is exactly what I required in my developers journey. It is very hands on and the perfect experience for someone with the self drive to learn. You are introduced to concepts that would have taken longer to come across as a self-taught and projects that  accelerate the learning. I can say that it has matched my expectations

Web Developer Professional - Nano degree

So far so good, content is excellent, well-prepared and presented.Video content could be increased a bit on the first project description but that's okay since its a nanodegree is is supposed to be condensed.

Advanced Web Development

An excellent program; I highly recommend it. This program gives a great overview on sql and data modeling for web , some coverage of databases, and using SQLACHEMY, API and Access mangement ,it provides learners with the concepts and skills necessary for developing web application,Lectures are clear and well organized. There are activities for students to go deeper into the topics and quizzes that helped them to check the main concepts, in addition to real projects that learner practice to complete and submit them in specific time to be reviewed by professional Reviewer.

Amazing Nanodegree Full Stack Web Developer

I love the Nanodegrees from Udacity as always it's very well designed. The most powerful things of my point of view are the projects (I really learned a lot from them) and the reviewers, they are really professional & give me valuable feedback

after completing the first part

i really recommend this to any one who want to become full stack developer, i think this program will make me a great full stack developer.but i think what it makes it easier for me to understand a lot of concepts, is my good knowledge in computer networks, databases, internet application programming, software engineering, since i studied computer science.

Full Stack Web Developer Nanodegree

The course was very well structured and engaging. It covered lot of concepts starting from the basics. I got familiar with how to develop an end to end webb application using Python, Flask and Postgres. Loved creating real time web applications and getting it reviewed by our mentors. The mentors were also quick in responding back whenever I faced any issues. It covered a lot of new concepts and techologies but only thing I felt a bit lagging was that the course was a little outdated. I believe that Udacity has now newly included docker, kubernetes to the program which is good. They can also include Angular or React along with this instead of basic javascript to make the course a perfect one!

Full Stack Nanodegree

I completed the Udacity Full Stack Nanodegree. Overall, it was a positive experience and I am aware that the course content and curriculum has improved since I took it.

As per Udacity's teaching style, the course videos are short and succinct to make knowledge easily digestible. The course instructors explained the materials using various diagrams, analogies and examples. There are quizzes to challenge you and test your new-found knowledge. And also, several challenging projects for one to apply their gathered skills and to also show to potential employers.

I also got free services like LinkedIn, Github, CV and Cover Letter review. The feedback I received was really helpful. This is arguably one of the better parts of the program especially if your online presence is below par.
