This program does not prepare students for the actual job hunt, they prepare you for a simulated version job interviews that rarely happens anymore. Ask lots of questions if you consider this program. Especially since some students pay a different tuition from each other.

For reference, I graduated from LearningFuze in September 2024.I’ll start this review by mentioning that I was very skeptical about coding boot camps based on discourse I had heard from some people in the industry and Reddit. I am a career changer who after debating for months about going back to school for a bachelors in computer science decided to go the bootcamp route. For those who might be having the same doubts, here’s what I have to say. It really depends on your situation and your goals. If you don’t mind taking a few years and going back to get a cs degree, then that’s probably the better option. As a cs grad you’ll have access to internships and new-grad positions, as well as having a shiny cs degree. For those who don’t want to spend years going back to school and learning all the theory behind computer science then the boot camp route is still a viable option in 2024, but it won’t be easy. For those, who have decided that the boot camp route is where you want to go then here’s my review on LearningFuze experience. I have to preface this that no matter what path you take self-taught, boot camp or cs degree it will not be easy and you have to work hard. I think that some people especially during peak covid times thought that the boot camp was a quick and easy route into tech and its just not true anymore. LearningFuze does a great job at giving you the resources and the support to get job ready but you still have to put in the work. Doing the minimum is not enough to land a job anymore. The instructors at the school are fantastic. They all have extensive industry experience and possess a wealth of knowledge. It's evident that they genuinely care about teaching and are committed to ensuring their students succeed. I was taught by Brandon, who has since left LFZ, and Shawn while the main senior instructor, Robert, was on break. They are incredibly helpful and guide students without simply providing the answers. Even now, after graduating they are always willing to help with anything.

Everything in this bootcamp is amazing! If you are looking for a place to gain real knowledge and become a confident, solid candidate for the tech job market, this is the place! They will help you from your first step until the end, while you find a job! And even after, they continue to support their alumni! I am amazed at how the program was built so smartly to enable you to learn so many things in a very short amount of time. I have learned a lot, progressing from being an absolute beginner to building solo full-stack projects from scratch. I highly recommend LearningFuze if you are ready to take on challenges and become a developer!

As I am in my final week of the in-person full stack web developer course; I am very shocked at what has been accomplished in such a short time frame. With only a few online tutorials before the course and just being able to code simple html to put some text and color on a page, I am now completing a full stack project with React. The amount that you can learn is just incredible. The course focuses on having you write actual code for most of your in class time, and getting a good review after. Your teachers are available for assistance through modern way in an agile methodology set up. In addition to the great coding experience career services start preparing you early for the job search afterwards. The career services is tailored specifically to this industry in preparing you for job searching through networking and key tools like LinkedIn as well as creating or fine tuning an already existing resume. And preparing you for the different approaches interviewing and the hiring process take in the web developer industry.

LearningFuze is an accelerated web development program that mimics an agile work environment with instructors as acting senior developers. Technologies taught throughout the program include core HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and the PERN (PostgreSQL, Express.js, React.js, Node.js) stack. I highly recommend this program to those interested in learning web development who have experienced "tutorial hell" during self-study and want to take their skills to the next level. The curriculum builds upon itself thoroughly and includes two portfolio projects for students to showcase online and in job interviews. In addition, the career services provided throughout the program are incredibly helpful and insightful for those looking to make a career change into web development. Services include workshops focused on a student's professional brand as a developer and mock interview practice. There are also plenty of opportunities for students to develop their soft skills and network with active industry professionals and alumni. Future students should take full advantage of this since technical skill alone is only half the battle when landing a job as a web developer.LearningFuze and its team have greatly surpassed my expectations as someone who is pursuing web development as a new career. Enrolling with a growth mindset and full commitment is absolutely necessary in order to succeed and get the most out of the program. Sincere thanks to the LearningFuze team for their guidance and passion!

As I’m nearing the completion of my 14 weeks at LearningFuze, I am amazed at the growth and progress I’ve made in my programming skills. Before this program, I could follow directions in a tutorial but would struggle to apply those skills afterward. Since being part of this program, I can now build a full-stack application and have gained familiarity in many areas, including React, Node.js, and PostgreSQL. The program surpassed all of my expectations, and I am incredibly grateful that I took the opportunity to invest in my growth and potential through LearningFuze. Part of what makes the in-person program worthwhile has been the instructors, Tim and Cody. They mentor you as if they were your senior developers to help simulate real-life interactions with developers. Their passion and enthusiasm for learning and explaining concepts are infectious, making learning to program even more exciting. Tim and Cody do a great job of not telling you the answers but guiding you to documentation and resources to help answer your questions. The curriculum they’ve developed is intentional in how it progresses and advances, allowing you to build up your confidence and ability to tackle increasingly more complex tasks. In LearningFuze’s flipped classroom, you take charge of your learning and growth, which has been a game changer in my learning. I’ve become less intimidated by learning complex programming languages and can navigate through documentation with purpose and understanding.Everyone at LearningFuze cares about your success and progress. Career services have provided mock interviews, workshops, and whiteboard interviews to help you transition into searching for and finding a job. These have been incredibly useful in demystifying the application process and gaining valuable feedback on how to prepare. Overall, if you demonstrate a commitment to learning and growing, you will be able to reap the full benefits of this program.

Highly recommend the in-person full-stack web dev program! I had no prior experience with coding, so I wanted support and guidance from an accessible instructor and wanted to be in a productive working environment. Although the course emulates a professional working environment (most communication during class time is done via Slack), the camaraderie and rapport I built with classmates and the instructors during breaks helped my morale and momentum through this rigorous program. After only 14 weeks, I'm amazed that I can build a functional webpage on my own with tools and languages that I didn't even know the names of before I began my journey into coding! Tim and Cody are exceptional instructors. They are approachable, patient, and care about their students leaving the program with the confidence to learn anything. They teach you how to learn! No boring lectures, no busy work. Every assignment is meant to guide your thought process and build habits to solve any problem. Andreana and Casey in Career Services also are invaluable resources to help you prep your LinkedIn, interview skills, and resume for job readiness! The program goes by FAST and will probably be the only thing you do for 14 weeks. But if you can get comfortable with being uncertain, wrong, and tinkering with tools and concepts that you don't fully understand in the moment, trust the process and invest in yourself by enrolling in this life-changing experience!

I recently graduated from the 14 week in-person Web Development program at LearningFuze. As a graduate, I feel well prepared to begin my new career as a full-stack web developer. What makes a good developer? It's the ability to learn and adapt to new skills and technologies as needed. Learning how to learn is one of the primary goals for the students at LearningFuze. The curriculum is broken up into independent exercises. Each exercise begins with reading official documentation such as docs provided by Mozilla Developer Network, Reactjs.org, Nodejs.org, etc. After reading through the documentation, we would attempt to complete the exercise before engaging in a full class Q&A discussion about the exercise and its solution. I enjoyed this process of learning compared to the traditional approach where we would have our lectures before attempting the assigned material. This approach made our Q&A discussion very effective for understanding the material. The topics covered in this bootcamp include but are not limited to HTML, CSS, Responsive Design, JavaScript (ES5/ES6), APIs, AJAX/Fetch Requests, Node.js, Express.js, SQL, PostgreSQL, React.js, Data Structures, JavaScript Promises, OOP, Closures, Algorithms, and much more. There are also career services in which we work on building our Resumes and personal LinkedIn profiles. I really appreciated how the instructors ran the classroom like a professional workplace. All assignments were submitted as GitHub Pull Requests that needed Instructor code review before merging. Communication, including questions and concerns, occurred through Slack. During our Project weeks, we delivered daily stand-ups on our development progress. All together, LearningFuze has the goal of not only preparing us to be developers, but professionals as well. I am thankful to my instructors, Tim and Cody. They are both excellent instructors and genuinely seem to love what they do. I would highly recommend attending in-person if you can. I had a wonderful experience and will continue to be involved with the Alumni community for years to come. I highly recommend this LearningFuze for launching your career as a developer.

One of the best things about the program is how much the staff really cares about each student's success. Success to them doesn't just mean spitting you out at the end of the camp, but rather it's you understanding the code and using that knowledge to build a career. Their curriculum is well made with each assignment building up to the next and constantly being improved by the instructors to better educate the students. I'm grateful to have attended and recommend this bootcamp to anybody looking to become a web developer.

After much research on in-person coding bootcamps in Southern California, I chose to enroll at LearningFuze (LFZ). I enrolled knowing very little about how to code (one semester in college in C++). After going through the prep course and the in-person full immersion program, I do not have a single regret about choosing LFZ, out of all the bootcamps, as the bootcamp to enroll in. I would have never thought I'd be able to learn as much as I did in 14 weeks, all thanks to the instructors and career services staff at LFZ. The course is definitely intense and requires full dedication and commitment. I recommend making sure that you're able to sacrifice 14 weeks of your time to learn how to code. If you're able to, then choosing LearningFuze as your coding bootcamp is hands down the way to go.

As I'm entering my final week of Learning Fuze, I can confidently say that this is a great place to learn web development. That being said, it is an intense course that will require lots of dedication and hard work. However, if you're able to stick through it—you'll learn a lot. You'll also be going through this with your cohort who you end up bonding with throughout your time at LearningFuze. The instructors (Tim & Cody) as well as the career counselors are great and they truly care for your success. Overall, I would highly recommend this place if you're in the greater OC area.

LearningFuze is a great place to learn how to actually code. They put a lot of focus on helping you understand what you're actually doing. It is an intense course and you will be challenged daily. The instructors are kind and patient and really want to help you learn how to solve the problems rather than just giving you the answer. One thing that stands out for me is their amazing career service and the help they provide in getting you your first job. I would highly recommend this bootcamp for anyone who really wants to take coding seriously.

I have been surprised with the rigor that has gone into developing the curriculum at LearningFuze. It is hard but quite worth the effort. You will notice very quickly that the instructors at LFZ are there to help people change their lives. I am grateful for their belief in me and willingness to help me learn in a way that will continue to benefit me as I learn on my own after the program. I have had a great experience with job interview preparation as well. Cass and Bill are very insightful and willing to give you the feedback you need to achieve your goals. Overall, I am extremely grateful for LFZ and would recommend it to those wishing to make a change into tech.

To be completely honest, joining LearningFuze (LFZ) was the best decision I made since walking off stage with my Master's degree in January 2020. The program is definitely challenging and intense; however, if you want to join a coding bootcamp for x amount of months it is more than expected to be so! Everything in the program is catered for the students. This includes the curriculum carefully created and updated by the instructors as well as the superior career services which dedicate time to help you show your best self on a resume or on your portfolio. The instructors are very knowledgeable with a surplus of years of experience who keep your interest at heart. They care and want you to succeed and it shows.I would say I spent over 10 hours/day, 7 days a week for the entirety of the program to work on exercises/challenges/projects and study documentation to remember older material learned early on in the program. Other time was spent keeping up with my networks and going to meetups within the LFZ community. There is a lot that goes into the program, whether it be from your time, energy, or mental capacity; however, the outcome and payoff is worth every minute.
Graduate 2022
This is an intense bootcamp but with the intensity comes great payoff. The curriculum is custom written by the instructors and you will receive quality education filled with learning materials that are designed to help you succeed. You get what you put into the program. Be prepared to dedicate your every waking moment to coding/learning and you'll graduate fully prepared to stand out in the job market. I dedicated 14hrs/day, 7 days a week for the entirety of the program to stay caught up with the materials and spent extra time outside of those hours to consistently network (events, meetups, socials, etc). I want to be very transparent that you're going to have to sacrifice a lot for the duration of the program and if you're not prepared to do this, then this camp might not be the right one for you. However, if you can push through, you'll come out equipped with valuable skillsets that will set you apart from a lot of other bootcamp grads. I've met and talked with lots of people from other programs who have repeatedly told me that the curriculum at LFZ is incredible. In addition, the instructors are incredibly talented/passionate about teaching, career support is top-notch and there are many events that allow you to stay in touch with the alumni/current students which is really wonderful.

If you're ready to bet on yourself and go all in the programming field, this is the place to enroll. The course material is top-notch, and the instructors are not only knowledgeable, but they’re very enthusiastic and approachable. It is a tough program, but it is fair and manageable through good time management. I appreciate how LearningFuze builds up your work ethic while respecting your health. The working environment is very supportive, and the career services are excellent. I highly recommend this program to those who are ready to learn.

This is a great bootcamp course if you are looking to get into web development, whether you are someone with no experience in tech, or have experience. This does not mean it is easy, however, if you are dedicated and highly motivated, you should be just fine! They also offer in-person courses which I really like!
Student 2022
So far this has been one of the best decisions I've made in my life. The instructors are very good at explaining concepts that are hard to understand, and they really care about your success. I can see myself improving everyday, and it is amazing how much progress I made since I started the course. The course requires a lot of time and dedication. But it is absolutely worth it! I highly recommend to anyone thats trying to get into software engineering!
Student 2022
I still have a few weeks left to finish in the course, but I can definitely say this has been one of the best experiences of my life. The instructors really care about your success during the course and once you finish. If a topic is not clicking with you they will work with you on how to better understand it and what steps you can take to progress your learning. Careers services is also something very important to the staff at LearningFuze. You will go through mock interviews and constantly get guidance on how to make your resume more appealing to employers and receive feedback on what you can do better in interviews. The course is very hard and you will need to be fully dedicated but the payoff is so worth it. If you are thinking about attending a bootcamp, definitely take their prep course!
