Full Stack Java Software Developer Immersive

The staff here was very helpful and helped me learn very fast. Even having to be gone a lot of family events and medical issues I was able to catch up still and get my work done.

Claim Academy was a great experience!

I chose to attend claim over other coding boot camps because of the results they advertised with respect to overal learning launching of a new career in the tech industry.  The content of the cirriculum gave me a great foundation from which I plan to build on.  The instructors are very knowleageable and more than patient.  

Outside of the content, Claim Academy goes above and beyond to exmplain the process of job hunting in the tech world and they spend a great amount of time preparing one to be ready for the first interviews as entry level developers.  

Claim also has a great network of affiliates and even go so far as to set up meetings with recruiters and companies that are currently hiring.  The reputation that Claim has with with its afiiliates carries a lot of weight as they are all aware of how intense the training program is.

Overall, the coding boot camp exceeded my expectations and I'm glad I took the time to complete the Immersive Full Stack Program.

Imagine a truck driver creating an application writing lines of code just under 12 intense weeks of study and mentoring. thats what Claim Academy did for me, i was able to acquire sort after skills set that employers of today really need to drive thier business 

i am proud of myself of what i was able to accomplish after three months. My wife and family are so proud of me it gives me inner peace knowing am on the right path

12 Week Intensive boot camp was challenging and fun.  Looking forward to putting my new skills to work!  The team at Claim was great and supportive.  I am grateful for the opportunity and the challenge.  My cohort was great, new friends for life! Congratulations to my teammates! 

Claim focuses on getting you employed, even before you graduate.  They challenege you in all the right ways, just like a real world work environment does.  Some amazing capstone projects and amazing people graduate from Claim.  It's not easy, but it's well worth your investment.  One of the absolute best bootcamps for military veterans as well as they accept the GI Bill and the new VET-TEC program students.

Claim Acadey was a great experience and I learned so much over the course of the 12 weeks, it was amazing.  The instructors were great and always willing to stay late and help with anything I needed assistance with in understanding, as well as with the completion of any assignments/projects I was having difficulties with.  Half way thru the course I was offered a job that I took, Claim  personnel work with me to figure out how I would acomplish graduating. I graduate 12/20/19 and could not be happeier with my decsion to go too Claim Academy. This is by far the best training I have had.

The staff at Claim Academy are not joking when they say this is a fully immersive program. You will eat, sleep, and breath coding during the entire program. However, during this time, you will learn far more than most people would be able to learn otherwise.

The days are long and you will likely eventually feel overwhelmed and frustrated. This happened at different points in the course for different members of my class. As difficult as you may find it, keep going. Show up every day, be on time, and don't leave early. Time missed will really hurt your progress and it will be very difficult to catch back up.

If you don't understand something, ask the instructors/mentors for help. Stay late and get help when you need it. Spend time working on projects at home. You will be expected to spend a lot of time working in pairs with other students, as well as working independently on your own projects. Again, ask for help or clarification if you don't understand something. Having another student explain something to you helps both of you understand it better. If you see another student struggling with something, offer your help.

You will be expected to learn some fundamental knowledge needed to complete your projects on your own and to troubleshoot problems. Google will become your new best friend. If that fails, ask the instructors/mentors for help.

Overall, I feel like Claim Academy delivers a solid course with a LOT of information and practical coding experience crammed into a 12-week course. They have employers and past graduates come in for open houses and employer showcases. Take advantage of these opportunities and network. Go in with a positive attitude and confidence that you can do this and your investment will pay off in the end.

Claim Academy is a very immersive boot camp.  These last 12 weeks have been rigorous and filled with frustration.  Overall however, it was a positive experience.  That being said, there is plenty of room for improvement.  I really hope claim changes the curriculum around to involve the instructors more.  It is broken down as 5 days a week for 9 hours a day.  3 hours solo programming, 3 hours peer programming, and 3 hours of instruction.  I believe it they changed it to an hour and a half of solo and an hour and half of peer with 6 hours of instruction the instructors could really have the time to educate their students.  With the current situation as it is, it is very easy to become disheartened because students feel like they are constantly catching up.  

They do go out of their way to bring potential jobs your way and the quality of the jobs are pretty top notch for the most part.  And at the end of your time there you present a project to many companies which is intimidating but a lot of fun.

Claim Academy is at the forefront of a new way to gain the knowledge required to become a Full Stack Java Developer. Three months at Claim Academy is cheaper than going to any college for 4+ years. While this program can change your life, that will only happen when you put in the time, effort, and will to learn throughout the program. As long as you are determined to do this and work hard, you can become a Developer too.

Claim Academy has been a great experience. Its cheaper than college and it takes less time than college would have. Claim has very helpful instructors. Lamar and Hiram are very nice and very knowledgeable. If your determined and focused you can become a full stack developer in 3 months.

Claim academy was certainly challenging but a great investment.  A lot of long days and hard work but in the end it paid off.  Besides the programming, the interview prep and resume writting assitance was a great resource.  Lamar, Harim, Tope, Ken...thanks for all your help and instruction along the way.
