Full Stack Java

A helpful bridge course! The lessons refreshed my previous knowledge and understanding while also introducing me to new concepts, and provided practical experience to cement those concepts. They also offer a slew of different resources, including additional coding review and interview prep, which are extremely useful to take advantage of. The course is also flexible in the fact that it isn't binding, so one could still search for jobs while taking this course. Overall a great and beneficial experience!

I enjoyed the cohort I was with in Cognixia's Future Horizons program (I had to pick JUMP by Cognixia because I couldn't pick Future Horizons). Training goes over standard Java boot camp content in an abbreviated fashion. While it's better to learn straight from the source (or on your own), the lack of a cost makes this program a good learning support, especially with relatable instructors. I haven't experienced the job assistance yet, but they said they'd help after the main program while providing exercises for us to complete every two weeks after the program.

If you're having trouble getting your foot into the door, then this course will help upskill you to a Junior level. Not only that, but they will help you prepare for the interview to have the best chance to win the job. Another part that I really appreciated is that they do not stop you from continuing your own search. If you are offered a position outside of the course you are free to pursue it. A win for everyone!

After I graduated in May 2021 with a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and endlessly applying for jobs in my fields, I still did not received positive news. Most of the jobs require hands on experiences even for entry level jobs. However, my trajectory shifted when I discovered Cognixia in July 2021—a turning point that redefined my career path. They evaluated my Java proficiency and guided me towards the JUMP Full Stack Java Course. The instructors are knowledgeable in what they teach and are incredible helpful. Not only that, I was also went through soft skill and interview training sessions which tremendously helped me prepared better for the real interviews. After the training, I went to JumpPlus phase and eventually was arranged interviews which landed me a job as a Full Stack Software Developer at the client site of Cognixia. While working at client site, I was also supported by Cognixia for any material or knowledge I need to up-skill. After my contract ends in June 2023, when there was new position opened, Paula Marchis, my deployment manager, reached out to me, and now with the new contract, I am promoted to a new position as a Full Stack Software Engineer with the experiences I gained through JUMP course and through client site. I am very thankful to come to know JUMP Program and Cognixia 

Cognixia is an amazing company. They host these course for anyone who wants to transition into a new field, regardless of background. The classes do start off long, but by the time you finish the course, classes will have flown by but the knowledge has stayed!

You learn a lot in the jump program and it is all very useful in the professional setting. If you go through the Java class as I did you also learn AWS and get a free voucher to take the Exam!

I had no idea what would happen when I entered this program; all I knew was that it would be similar to other bootcamps on the market. If you want to start a career in technology, this is the place to be. Beginning with the recruiter who informed me about this program and provided me with all the details regarding the class and topics. The Jump program has some of the most skilled and experienced instructors, and they will do everything they can to ensure that you learn all topics. My instructor was Matthew Truelove; he is extremely patient and knowledgeable, and the way he taught JAVA was so simple to understand. The course is set up so that if you put 100% of your effort into it, you will get 100% of the results. This is not something that every bootcamp on the market can provide. For the non-technical portion of interviews, they also provide training on establishing a digital mindset (thanks to Sierra White for all the sessions and exercises). Finally, the most significant aspect of program is job hunt( They will do it for you). A special thanks to Paula Marchis, my deployment manager, who assisted me with my interviews and on-boarding process and helped me land my job. Thanks to the whole team of Cognixia.All I can say is that this is an excellent curriculum that will help you learn and improve in your tech career.

I went to college for CS and graduated in 2020. I was applying to every single entry level developer job out there but got very few call backs for an interview. Without having industry level experience, I could not get an entry level developer job. I ended up working at a help desk and hated it. I went to college for programing, and that is what my passion was in. When I got a call from a recruiter about the JUMP program and how they will teach me exactly what companies what and have the connections to get me in front of an interview I leapt at the opportunity!! JUMP turned out better than I imagined! The instructors were amazing, they taught us from scratch how to code, build full stack apps hosted on the cloud, and practice interviews. I was finally able to get in front of interviews and knew exactly how to get the job!!

An amazing program with even more amazing people. I went through a “hire, train, deploy” phase that basically went over the basics of programming and what is expected in a modern tech role. After that I had a few interviews lined up by Collabera. Speaking from experience of having interviews outside Collabera, these ones were much MUCH easier, Collabera has often placed many other people at these companies so they give you great knowledge of what to expect and what Qs may come your way. Ending up getting signed on to a great company and one of the biggest financial institutions in the USA. Although I initially wanted to sign on full time with this company, I was told I would have to move across the country to do so. This is where Collabera came in clutch and signed me back on for a generous sum, this also meant I don’t have to move because I am still a contractor! These “bootcamps” may not be for everyone but I cannot imagine where I’d be if I didn’t sign-up for the jump program over 2 years ago. 

I joined Cognixia in May of 2020 and began training for Java and Springboot. Coming from a java background, this helped strengthen my programming skills and taught me a solid framework, Spring, which I see and use almost everyday in my current position. After the training I began the JUMPlus stage and I eventually found a great position with an incredible company. This boosted my career in ways that really would not have been possible without the JUMP program.Aside from the business side of the program, everyone I interacted with was very kind and helpful. From the start of the program I could tell they wanted to get me hired and would do everything in their power to do so.

Overall I had a great experience with this program. It was the perfect entry point into software development. The curriculum was solid but since it is a new program the course structure still needs a bit of refinement. Management was fantastic, and accommodating. Mock interviews were the norm which was a huge benefit in preparing for real interviews with clients. It's paid training and if you can study, prepare, and perform you'll have access to a solid client list all across the country. The biggest difficulty for me was information about the process wasn't always clear which can leave you feeling anxious. However, this was a tiny issue relative to all the positive experiences I had with the program and with the company. 

The Jump Program with Collabera exceeded all of my expectations! I was truly surprised not only by the technical skills i gained, but also by the initiative of leading a digital lifestyle. This program took my skills to the next level and prepared me to start my software development career. I also gained a life-long network of professional connections that i can stay connected with for life. 

This program is a great way to get your foot in the door with many Fortune 500 companies! If you are looking to JUMP start your career, this program is the way to do it.  It is also a great way to meet some awesome people while developing your coding skills to get your dream job!
