Plunged 15k into debt to get a bunch of online tutorials. The instructors were not helpful, there was no communication, no assistance, and the general vibe was very much like some sort of assembly line, just going through the motions. I think the cohort had like 20+ people in it which isn't a small group. Projects consisted of basically copying code. Recruiters were more interested in getting people into the program rather than ensuring that it's a good fit.I was led to believe that it'd be structured much like a university classroom with an instructor teaching us and making sure we understand concepts and completing projects together. Nope, just a recording of some guy coding Java for you(literally thousands of free videos exactly the same) coupled with a zoom meeting of people who also know Java and also want you to download a bunch of superfluous software on your computer to upload projects, code, communicate, etc. The financial aspect of it is very much a honeypot, basically debt peonage like most education in America. But, unlike debt peonage for say university pr trade school, you don't get a credential most employers recognize. In summary, if you have the time to do a bootcamp, you're better off learning on your own. If you have the money ( or the stomach to get five figures into debt) you're better off going to a real school.Coding bootcamps really just one level above scams, because it isn't like you get nothing but what you gain is significantly less than what you put in. But, that's just me.

The bootcamp instructors and fellow students really push you to do your best. They'll give you hints and tips to tackle tough stuff, but they won't just hand you the answers. It's all about learning and growing together.

As a current student, this bootcamp has been an amazing experience. The curriculum, as well as the class sessions, do an excellent job in keeping the learner motivated and informed while learning a challenging programming language. The instructors are instrumental to your success and it is more than apparent that they want you to succeed. This also holds true for your peers, the sense of community is one of the camp's biggest assets. The camp's flexibility with schedules and setbacks allows the learner to put in the time they need while not overextending just to make a deadline at the expense of genuine understanding. Make no mistake, this bootcamp is CHALLENGING, but with all the resources available, it will be much harder to fail than to succeed. Can't recommend it enough.

Everything about this boot camp is amazing. I implore anyone who wants to become a developer to give Coders Campus a shot!!! They will not disappoint. (I’ve been through other bootcamps which shall remain anonymous lol).

I can't recommend this bootcamp enough. I came across this bootcamp through a friend and I decided to join him. My take away from this experience was far better than what I expected. Not only that the students will come out fully equipped for the tech world but students leave with a community and a sense of belonging. The support by my instructors and peers were something so organic that I bet no other bootcamp would have. Highly recommend it.

Do I recommend this Coders Campus? YES! Coming from absolutely ZERO EXPERIENCE. This Bootcamp has been patiently working with me and others like myself to help us better understand the world of computer science. Trevor goes over the tinies decimal to the world of Full-Stack that awaits for us to conquer it 😁. I have had no issues with Coders Campus in fact they strive their best to see you succeed. Coding is a problem solving of course they encourage you do solve it yourself when you encounter a roadblock but they are always their to help. From the first video call to every meeting they are willing and patiently going to help you get through this.

It took me a while to finally commit as I am experiencing a career change, and I couldn’t be happier about the choice I made. Not only am I learning something I have 0 experience in, the community is constantly reaching out to assure my success within the boot camp. I needed a program that holds me accountable and that is exactly what I got and more!
Student 2024
I'm currently going through the program and it's geared towards being competent and proficient. The reason it stands out above other programs is the resources at your disposal. Putting in the time to learn is what it takes to make it through but there's a number of resources that help you when you get stumped and not just because they want you to pass. They want you to get a job as much as you want to get a job!

I am so blessed to have chosen Coders Campus as I transition into the tech field. They truly want to see each of thier students succeed and are so genuine with thier intentions. They go beyond just learning how to code, they also emphasiz in work flow, networking, and real life skills that are just as important as the learning the code itself. The community is one the best I have ever experienced as we all build each other up as students and instructors to really get that job that we are looking for.

I started this boot camp in January. I come from a completely different background and have never even looked at coding stuff before signing up to this boot camp. All the instructors are great! All the students are like to help and it is a great community! Enjoying this boot camp :)
Graduate 2024
I had a difficult time understanding the concepts at first, but the instructors worked with me daily to keep me on track. Trevor has created a top notch curriculum along with a great community! 10/10.

I'm a student currently enrolled in Coders Campus, and the experience thus far has been invaluable. What I like most about Coders Campus is their multi-faceted approach to getting you hired as a developer. The first facet is the boot camp itself, which provides the raw programming knowledge required. Not only are the videos by Trevor Page exceptionally informative, the accompanying assignments do an excellent job of simulating real-world tasks you might expect to do on the job. The assignments are followed up by a thorough code review from an experienced developer, who offers great insight into how to approach these tasks most effectively. If you're struggling, they have a bevy of excellent instructors who are all more than happy to assist you. Struggling or not, they have regular meetings throughout the week, which I would strongly recommend attending. The insight gained from working with the group in these meetings is among the most valuable aspects of Coders Campus. They break down the boot camp into two broad groups, "Foundations" and "Full Stack." As you might expect, the Foundations students are earlier in the process, focusing more on programming fundamentals. The Full Stack students get to work together on real production software being actively used by the boot camp. This hands-on, real world experience is, in my opinion, the most valuable part of the boot camp. Students fill the roles of Scrum Master and Product Owner, and then proceed to select issues from Github and have 2 other students pair program in front of the group. In this way, you get to learn how production software is actually made, how version control is used when many developers are involved, how to give and receive effective feedback, and how to speak intelligently about technical issues in a group setting. You're essentially gaining an internship's worth of experience as you complete the boot camp, which has remarkably improved my knowledge and confidence. They also offer excellent guidance about networking, a crucial aspect of getting hired. At the time of this writing, they include a comprehensive companion course explaining how to optimize your social media profiles to gain recruiter attention and how to approach networking in the most effective way. This companion course is taught by someone who has been both a developer and a tech recruiter, so the insight is really valuable. They also have their own in-house visual guides for optimizing your LinkedIn and Github profiles, and of course the instructors and other students are invaluable resources for this kind of knowledge. All in all, the experience has been overwhelmingly positive. The people I've met have all been great -- we all help each other out on the networking front! My knowledge, confidence, and skill level have all been catapulted dramatically forward thanks to Coders Campus, far beyond what I would've been able to accomplish working by myself. I would strongly recommend Coders Campus to anyone looking to get their start as a developer.
Graduate 2023
This bootcamp is heavily self-directed, with learning done through videos and projects. Unfortunately, I didn't find the video quality to be any better than freely available tutorials. Support was a mixed bag, sometimes okay, sometimes unhelpful. Career support was okay but didn't provide anything beyond what you could find by a quick online search. It might suit you if you want a structured format, but the price outweighs the value compared to free options, and it's unlikely to help you land a job.

+ I learned how to think properly codingwise.+ They dont give answers to assignments, that led me adjust my muscle memory to fix my own bugs. + Instructors (were harsh - purposely doing that, to force your brain to think as a programmer)

Coders Campus provides excellent instruction in learning syntax and concepts needed to code. But, more importantly, Coders Campus provides real-world projects and simulates scrum meetings that are invaluable. The content and lessons learned in working with others during scheduled meetings (not to mention support with blockers) are worth the price of admission.

I'm halfway through the Coders Campus Full Stack Java course, and the experience has been fantastic so far. The curriculum is comprehensive, covering real-world scenarios and building a strong foundation. Trevor, the lead instructor, stands out with his engaging teaching style and in-depth explanations. He goes beyond the code, providing valuable background context for each concept. The real interesting part of this bootcamp is the supportive community behind it. We have a slack channel with all level student helping each other out on past assignments, and for the more advanced students, there is a real-world project that we are working on to create an application that will be launched in the near future.Being able to work on something real is greatly valuable to me and I feel like I'm getting prepared in the most perfect way to propel me into a successful career.
