This review is based on my personal experience at The Skillians Academy. No training institute is perfect, so I’m sharing this with an open and unbiased mindset.I’m not labeling anything as a “pro” or “con”, because what works well for one person might not work for another. I’ll mainly highlight points you may not easily find on their website. For basic details, their official website is the best source.1. Learning Environment
The learning pace is fast.
Foundational concepts are covered properly, but you must stay consistent.
For each topic:
Around 65–80% is taught in class
The remaining 20–35% is expected to be learned through assignments

2. Assignments & Teaching Associates (TAs)
Assignments play a major role in learning.
If you get stuck, you can contact a Teaching Associate (TA).
TAs are:
Senior students or program graduates
Meant to guide, not give direct answers

They provide hints or direction, not solutions.
Each TA has a different mentoring style.
TA allocation is random.

3. Course Coverage
Equal importance is given to:
Web Development / Data Science (Pay After Placement program)
Data Structures & Algorithms (DSA)

You cannot ignore DSA even if you are more interested in development.
4. Trainers & Teaching Style
Trainer quality is consistent in some topics and inconsistent in some.
Some trainers explain concepts very well.
Others know the subject but struggle with clear explanations.
Questions are allowed, but if clarity is lacking:Self-learning becomes necessary

You cannot change trainers.
You may switch batches, but:You cannot drop out midway once enrolled.

5. Placement Eligibility Criteria
Placement eligibility starts only after becoming Skillians Accredited.
To get accredited, you must clear:
All units
Assignments
Projects
Mock interviews

Once eligible:You must attend at least 2 interviews per week

6. Placement Rules & Relocation
If you clear an interview:
You are expected to join the company
Relocation is mandatory if required (unless remote)

If you refuse to join after clearing an interview:Your ISA gets activated

In my case:
I was placed through Skillians
I relocated as required

7. CTC & Salary Reality
Minimum guaranteed CTC: ₹8 LPA

My offer:
₹8.1 LPA total
₹7 LPA fixed
₹1.1 LPA variable/bonus

8. ISA & Loan Breakdown (Very Important)The ISA details on the website can be confusing, so here’s a simple example:If your CTC is ₹8 LPA:
Monthly salary: ~₹66,666
Take-home: ~₹62,000–66,000
ISA Details:
ISA amount: ₹1,00,000
GST (18%): ₹18,000
Total repayment: ₹1,18,000

Duration: 12 months

Monthly EMI: ~₹9,880
Effective take-home after EMI:₹66,000 – ₹9,880 ≈ ₹54,600 per month
9. Job Loss & EMI Risks
If you lose your job:EMI does not pause automatically you will have to request them 

You must inform Skillians and request temporary support.
You cannot claim tax deductions.

10. Final Thoughts
Think carefully before joining Skillians or any ISA-based program.
Training and placement support exist.
But the entire repayment responsibility is on you.
Do not rely only on the institute.

i am in the current batch of the skillians, let me tell you the truth , it is good , i have been here for 2 months , but each and every class is well taught, doubt sessions are conducting now over the weekends and i was very very estatically drawn with the explainations and all, my current batch mentor is sanskar sir , i would say the speed is a little high but yes concepts are understandable, program overall seems to be typically working for me, people eill have to study here there is not a lot of hand holding. 

 The Skillians full stack Bootcamp is a fantastic program for anyone aiming to build a strong career in the tech field. The training is hands-on, mentors are experienced, and the curriculum is industry-relevant. It equips learners with practical skills, making them confident and job-ready for real-world IT roles. I am proud to share that I got placed in an MNC with a great package.

The web development course was very well structured. I learned from HTML, CSS to JavaScript and react through practical projects. The trainers explained each concept clearly and guided throughout the journey. 

The Skillians Academy gives decent learning with good mentors and real projects. Their pay-after-placement option is helpful, but read the terms properly. Sometimes classes get rescheduled, yet the support team tries to help. Overall, a fair choice if you’re serious about tech careers.

My Honest Experience from December 2024 BatchHey everyone,I don’t usually write such posts, but when a company plays with students' careers and misleads them just for money — someone has to speak up. And today, that someone is me.
🎯 The “Pay After Placement” Trap — A Big Fat LieThe Skillians lures students with the promise of “pay after placement” and minimum 8 LPA packages. Sounds tempting, right?But here’s what really happens:

They ask for an upfront fee of ₹17,000
After payment, there is no one to hear you or guide you.
You’re left chasing people who won’t answer, deliver, or even listen
👨‍🏫 Joined as a December 2024 Batch StudentI enrolled in December 2024, expecting mentorship, good curriculum, and placement help.But mind you, I’m not a beginner — I’ve been working as a Software Developer at a startup since September 2024, and I joined this just to get structured placement help from a team that claimed to have industry mentors from top tech companies.
Instead, I was shocked by how amateur everything was.
🎙️ Poor Classes, No Teaching Standards
Some mentors didn’t even have working microphones — their sessions were unbearable to attend
No proper slides, flow, or concept clarity
Most mentors seemed like college students hired on a budget, not experienced industry folks as promised
🧪 Tests? More Like Confusion Traps
Tests were scheduled on Evalgator, but there were no clear instructions on how or when to attend
You need to schedule it yourself without guidance
Email info vs reality? Completely different
Notices about tests were sent just 2 to 7 days before, leaving students unprepared and stressed
It honestly feels like they’re intentionally creating confusion to filter students out and claim fake success with a few.
📢 Discord: A Messy Dumpster of AnnouncementsAll communication happens in a single Discord channel — a chaotic mess of student and admin messages.
We repeatedly requested a separate “Announcements” channel, but they didn’t care.Even the learning platform (Edmingle) has dedicated Announcements and Tests sections, but they remain completely unused.
☎️ Support That Doesn’t SupportTrying to contact support?Good luck. Most of the time they don’t answer. And when they do, you’ll hear something like:
You’re running a paid edtech company, taking money from students — how is this even okay?
🧨 Hidden Tricks to Cut StudentsWhat’s worse?They keep changing rules mid-course, adding tricky test criteria, and pushing deadlines without structure.It’s like they want to eliminate as many students as possible, so they can show better placement stats with fewer people.
They even ask students to void terms & conditions, just to avoid responsibility. Completely unethical.
💸 Better Courses Exist — For Less Than Half the PriceThey charged us ₹17K upfront fees, rest will be after placement, for this chaos. Meanwhile, in the real world:

DSA full course = ₹3K
Web Dev complete = ₹4K With better mentors, cleaner platforms, and actual learning.
We joined The Skillians only because of their placement company tie-ups, but even that’s turning out to be a false hope.
💔 Final Thoughts — Please Don’t Fall for ItBefore joining, I checked everywhere — no negative reviews, and I thought maybe they’re new and still building.But now I know: they’re not building anything real, just selling dreams and collecting fees.
If you’re reading this and thinking I’m exaggerating — go ahead, try enrolling.Or better: talk to current batch students. The truth is right there.
🚫 My Strong RecommendationDO NOT JOIN or recommend The Skillians to anyone.They’ve misled, mismanaged, and even looted students by delivering a service that doesn’t come close to what they promise.Other edtech startups are doing far better — with real mentors, structured courses, and responsible teams.

Fraud alert, don't be scammed i enrolled my younger brother last week in the Full Stack Development course and saw there is no teacher some 2 years experienced data engineer is teaching Full Stack Development and funny thing Data Analyst and Full Stack Development both will study 6 months together, it's like India got latent.
