Graduate 2024
I graduated jan 2024 and I can say with 100% confidence that I was lured in with false promises of job placement assistance right out of graduation. The program itself was less the mediocre, the instructors are all former students and their understanding of the material is cookie cut and strictly based on "how they did their project". Ask them what a binary tree is, ask them what polymorphism is, ask them what abstraction is, ask them what the law of detmeter is, ask them a question about anything relating to the foundations of software engineering that isnt strictly covered in the reading you are provided and you will get dazzled with bs, or deer in the headlights looks.. The first time my eyebrows were raised was when I heard an instructor boast conversationally about "how hard it was learning about the area of a binary tree".I happen to have a degree in software engineering and I happened to know that there was no such thing that existed. I tried to verify if they meant the diameter of a binary tree and they got visibly annoyed that I would question them and doubled down on their claim. To this day I have no idea what the heck the area of a binary tree is, and neither do the software engineers I graduated with.. They were not aware of my education at that time, but I had just began to become fully aware of their ignorance. After supposedly being one of the top performers that has ever gone through that program (Which by the way is subjective as I was told I was given a 99% on an assignment instead of the 100% I deserved because "they wanted me to work harder"), they ignored my request for a letter of recommendation without an explanation, and upon graduation I was told I would be using a job board with outdated job postings and meet with someone for 30 mins once a week to see how my job search was going. There is no job placement assistance, there is nothing that I saw backing their "Codeboxx for life" promise. Its all recruitment talk and its is, in my opinion, all lies. What really got me worked up is that I requested a letter of recommendation about 2 months prior to graduation while I was working my butt off and "doing very well" so that I could try to get a job lined up, and it went fully ignored. Then upon graduation I am immediately contacted and asked if I can be showcased as a success story to promote codeboxx.. Are you kidding? What in thee narcissistic heck is that?? A success story? Really? Your job placement advertising is a lie. You wouldnt even help me on my job search with a LOR after boasting of how well I was doing.. I couldn't believe my ears, the audacity! This place is a scam, you will be expected to go through the material that you will get little to no assistance with, and will basically end up teaching yourself. Upon graduation, all you have to look forward to is a job board with outdated job posting. This is a waste of time, effort, and energy. You could literally learn the same material, with adequate instruction, using udemy. Heck, go to community college and get actual professors to teach you the same stuff, adequately, with an actual certificate to show for it, at a fraction of the price. (Edit: I just saw that they went back and changed the 90.2% job placement on their website to reflect graduates up until July 2023 because those figures are more like 0%-50% after that.)

I was totally unaware of what a bootcamp is. What an experience that turned out to be!I've learn plenty and I've been offered a very nice job on top of that! But please bear in mind that this is not an easy course. You'll have to spend a lot of hours. But in the end, it's really worth it.
Graduate 2020
If you want to change your career into IT but don't know where to start, start with Codeboxx. It's not easy but it's worth it!!!
Graduate 2020
2020 Graduate working as an IOS Developer. Codeboxx provided me with the tools necessary to start a new career. It was an incredibly difficult experience, but nothing worth doing is easy. The camp has to be treated as full time job to succeed.I would recommend building up a solid base in the fundamentals before taking the course. It'll help you immensely throughout the program.
Graduate 2020
Overall, it was a good experience if you are looking for a career change. They teach you not only how to code, but how to think and figure out problems on your own. The best part is you only pay tuition once you get a job.
Graduate 2020
It's a hectic 16 weeks not the say the least.. This bootcamp does a good job at mimicking a dev job.For 16 weeks and all there is to learn, you can expect to be more of a jack of all trades more than a master at everything. Once you're done with those 16 weeks, they guarentee you a job and this is where you start to master certain things over others.I can't really compare bootcamps as I've only done one but I can say that the Codeboxx experience is at the very least pretty decent.

I was extremely lucky to be able to find Codeboxx and a tech job right before covid happened! Before I switched my careers to programming, I was working as a musician and a piano teacher. Never in my life did I learn how to code until I started Codeboxx. As others had already mentioned, the bootcamp was challenging but I love challenges so I enjoyed every bit of it. I thought that their curriculum was useful even though I am not currently using it at my job. I think their main idea was to give us the big picture of all the different types of technology and to expose us to different things so that we become aware of it. They provided us the experience of self-learning while having instructors to guide us in the right path. I thought it was a good alternative to just doing online tutorials because Codeboxx resembled a work place that gave me the hands on opportunity to complete different projects every week. If you're interested in joining the bootcamp, don't feel disappointed if you feel like you haven't mastered everything. It is IMPOSSIBLE to become a master of anything in four months, especially when the world of technology is huuuge. I found that right after I finished the bootcamp, I became aware of I wanted to learn/ focus on so I did some more digging to master those topics in my part. Finding the first job in tech is hard (especially after the career switch -- with no experience/ portfolio), so Codeboxx definitely fulfilled its promises in providing us a job and a real-life experience that we could use in our resume. This was one of the great benefits in Codeboxx and I'm very appreciative of that!

In my search to carry out some kind of study that would allow me to start in the IT world, I found several options, the main options pointed to that I should do a BootCamp and there I found Codeboxx. After reading their website completely, asking to some friends that work as IT professionals a couple of questions, I decided to sign up and take part in that adventure. From the beginning, I realized that it was made the right choice! The presentation of the program and the first two weeks in which you face a real life challenge made me confirm that I was on the right track. It is a highly challenging program, where every week you are faced with new languages, problems, etc. that make you have to be active, interested and eager to learn. It is not an easy program, but also either is an impossible one, being willing to fight, search, work hard will definitely make your life easier.Halfway through, we were faced with an additional challenge, one that was not on anyone's radar ... no directives, no coaches, and less as students! This new little challenge called COVID19, forced us to reinvent ourselves in order to face our challenges in Codeboxx in a different way. It was not really easy, but this challenge helped us understand that the dynamics of life and our professions change at any moment, and that only those who are willing to accept change, those who adapt quickly are those who will achieve success. The managers, coaches and students knew how to understand it and adapt quickly and finally we managed to finish our Bootcamp satisfactorily, in my case being part of the first Montreal cohort. The entire program is based on real life problems, a fictitious company that could easily be turned into a real company! It keeps your interest high from week to week, which motivates you to give your 100%.At the end of the course, and as promised, you will participate in several interviews to finally enter in the working world of the programming area, and once you start working, you will find yourself again faced with new challenges that make your life a fulfilling adventure. continuous learning. To all those interested, I encourage you to take the course with a positive attitude, with the confidence of a great future ahead.

This program has been very impact-full on my career. The course isn't easy, but that is because the jobs are never easy. You need the proper mind set to be successful in this industry, and thanks to the intense program put forward by Codeboxx I believe I got the tools to jump start my career in the tech sector.

I'm 19 year old and I am a graduate of codeboxx since a couple months ago, I really liked the experience of learning by myself at Codeboxx, growing up I always loved technology and I was always eager to learn more about it. I always knew I wanted to become a programmer but it's way easier said than done, there are alot of challenges to face, and that's where Codeboxx plays a major part, at Codeboxx you get the time, ressources and tools you need to motivate yourself and learn and do the bootcamp. Codeboxx did not teach me how to code, instead they teached me how to take these challenges head first and overcome them, they teached me how a real company works, they teached me that not everything will be given to you on a golden plate whenever you will be in business, nobody will be there to hold your hand and do everything for you. Codeboxx changed my life and also made me realize my childhood dream, which was to become a programmer. I would definitly recommend Codeboxx to anyone who is interested in technology

I would be lying to you if I told you that this is an easy program. It was the first time that I was in an academic context without marginal courses and I found it difficult at the beginning. I was completely out of my comfort zone and had to do things without fully understanding them and letting the magic happen. Yes, I experienced impostor syndrome for a while, but everything was set up once the boot camp was over. I have been working in this field for a year and a half now and I am improving day by day thanks to the help of my colleagues and the CodeBoxx values that I acquired during the Boot camp

I went to one of their open doors with my friend. We met one of the students that we know at the main door.. What I understood is surprising.. First, all the reviews are from either the management or employees at codeboxx. I even talked to one of them and he is a recruiter for codeboxx .. Well according to the students,It is definitely not for beginners. The coaches are new, like don't exist, they have no clue about the curriculum. You are on your own and operate under the pressure of the management. The management are super arrogant especially the CEO, if you complain they will fire you and you will end up losing your time and probably your money .They will force you to leave under pressure , then they will ask you for a compensaton for the time you spent with them. The guy who knows what is going on about the curriculum is located in Quebec city and you need to write your question and wait hours to get an answer, the communication doesn't work very well. That when you know what is the problem.. Most of the time students are lost and are trying to help each other as they can. At the end of the day when you get the job they will take 20% of your salary. if you can get the job, you ll forced to stay with them for almost a year, all of that under pressure to force you either find a job or leave and pay them the 14000$.. And they will also paid by the companies..you will surely feel like merchandise, especially when they don't teach you. You will be left to your own.. Get an AEC it is much better and 5 times cheaper , this is what we decided to do ..I don't recommend codeboxx Montreal..
