I attended CodeOp’s part-time remote full-stack development BootCamp while based in Massachusetts, and it was an incredibly supportive and enriching experience. The instructors and teaching assistants were outstanding, and always available for feedback, and I especially appreciated their use of rhetorical questioning to break down difficult concepts. My cohort was highly engaged—most kept their cameras on during live sessions, which helped with focus and collaboration. As a neurodivergent, I never felt judged; the instructors were accommodating and sensitive to my needs, making it a truly inclusive space. This BootCamp didn’t just improve my technical skills—it helped me gain confidence and strategies to manage imposter syndrome. I’ve been working hard to become an engineer, and CodeOp catapulted my progress, accelerating my learning in ways I didn’t expect. I now feel even more confident in my abilities, and within six months of graduation, I secured a paid internship.
The curriculum provided a solid foundation, but I often wished for more time to dive into computer science fundamentals and analyze code line by line during demos. This wasn’t a flaw in the curriculum itself, but rather a challenge of the BootCamp format. That said, CodeOp did a great job collecting feedback throughout the program and adjusting accordingly. I also found the collaborative problem-solving sessions and flash lectures to be valuable additions, though a session on Big O notation would have been a great technical interview prep topic. While I gained a lot of confidence in my coding skills, I wish there had been more structured opportunities to review my code, as this would have helped with technical interviews.
Career services were encouraging and supportive, offering coaching sessions, resume reviews, and mock interviews. However, a guaranteed job or internship placement would take the program to the next level. Since CodeOp is based in Barcelona, many alumni job postings were Europe-based, which could be a challenge for U.S.-based students—but I saw this as a long-term advantage, as I’d love to work abroad again. I also appreciated that they connected me with U.S.-based alumni, who have continued to offer mentorship and support. Overall, CodeOp is a mission-driven BootCamp that truly cares about its students. If you’re looking for an inclusive, affordable, and high-quality tech BootCamp, CodeOp is an excellent choice!

I have just graduated from CodeOp's "Full Stack Development" bootcamp, and it has been an incredible experience. I’m still amazed at the sheer amount of knowledge and skills we gained and were able to put into practice in just a few months. The support from both the instructors and the teaching assistants was outstanding, making the entire process enjoyable despite its intensity. This bootcamp not only challenged me but also equipped me with the tools and confidence to pursue a career in tech. I highly recommend it to anyone ready for a transformative, rewarding journey into full-stack development.

I first started coding almost a year before signing up for this bootcamp whilst on maternity leave. I found online, self-paced courses useful but eventually hit a wall in my learning. I then discovered Codeop's bootcamp online and after many months of conversations with the admissions team, I finally decided to bite the bullet and go for it! I don't regret it for a second! As a 40+ career changer (ex-teacher) with two young children, I found the course challenging but manageable due to the inclusive and supportive environment. The lecture phase was fast moving but extremely comprehensive. I didn't understand all the concepts immediately but benefitted from sessions with the TA on the course to stay on track. By the time we got to the project phase, it was a lot of fun to put the concepts we had been taught into practice. I can now build a full stack app from scratch and collaborate on other projects on Github. The career weeks were especially useful to re write my CV and create an appealing LinkedIn profile. Overall, I have found a great community that will continue to accompany me on this exciting journey into a new career! :)

This has been one of the best decisions I have made in the past years. At CodeOP, I could learn and grow as a fullstack developer in a very safe environment. The instructors, guest lecturers and TAs were in my experience all amazing and used inclusive language. It was an intense experience and at times extremely challenging to learn so much in so little time (6 months, part time). But it was absolutely worth it and I feel confident with the skills I’ve earned. After this training, I am able to build my own fullstack web app from zero and deploy it. I can actually build things just for fun and work on legacy projects. I can also collaborate with other developers on GitHub. Lastly, I’ve also learned how to better apply for jobs and create a more appealing CV and LinkedIn account. Bonus: At CodeOP, the general support and job assistance continues even after graduation.

I would like to express my gratitude to Katrina Walker for the opportunity accorded to me to attend the Full Stack Web Development bootcamp on scholarship basis. You have changed my life, my perspective on the industry and opened the door for more opportunities for me and the communities i serve in Uganda.

CodeOp is so much more than a school. It is an inclusive multicultural community of professional and dedicated people who root for each other and watch each other grow. The CodeOp team is always there to support you and encourage you if the "imposter syndrome" takes over. I started my educational journey through tech right after the pandemic began. The Bootcamp made the quarantine so much more engaging and kept me motivated. If you start with zero coding experience like I did, you might feel a bit lost at first, but everything starts making sense in the project phase when building web applications. Moreover, CodeOp offers comprehensive career guidance vis-à-vis the tech industry's hiring process, which helps to understand better what the job market looks like and what to expect in your technical interview. Thank you for a transformative educational journey, CodeOp.

I attended the 6 months part-time version of Codeop's Full Stack Development Bootcamp and loved the experience. Working full-time plus attending class and completing the coursework was challenging at times, but the wonderful team at Codeop made me feel supported every step of the way. These are some of my personal highlights of the program:- small class size: I got to ask all of the many questions I had- continued support from instructors, classmates and the amazing Codeop alumni community when I got stuck solving a problem- AMAZING staff and instructors who care deeply about the learning journey and career path of each student- really relevant preparation for getting started in the tech industry (career talks, mock interviews etc.)- focus on problem solving and thinking like a developerWhen the course finished, I was extremely proud of what I had accomplished, but also sad to not come back to class to learn even more the next week.I would wholeheartedly recommend Codeop to anyone interested in a career change towards tech!
