Re:coded was an amazing opportunity for me to start learning frontend development from scratch. It's been an exceptional experience that gifted me with great pathway for personal growth as well as a tremendous push to start a new professional development journey. The carreer mentoring experience was beyond valuable thanks to my mentor as well as the whole team behind the crucial career readiness skills. The boot camp may not be beginner-friendly for many since the pace will go super fast for people who come from different non-tech backgrounds like me, it demands a lot of resilience, time, and commitment, yet still needs to cover some topics before jumping to advanced ones. The hands-on projects were amazing for learning and enriching your portfolio, yet can be very difficult for a beginner, so do your best to learn from your teammates and ask your instructors when they're available.
I recommend it to anyone seriously and diligently invested in becoming a front-end developer.

I never expected something to be this good. Re:Coded’s community and experience were truly one of a kind. I loved the whole journey; no matter how hard coding seemed for me as a beginner with the right environment anything is possible and even fun with Re:Coded. Everything was smoothly planned and crafted by the trainers who are ( empathetic, supportive, and fun ) and I genuinely grew to love my trainers because they cared about everyone’s success and were always there every step of the way relentlessly helping, the curriculum was smartly catered from building the right foundation and gradually growing to what is trendy and what the market demands. The lessons were challenging but manageable. My favorite part about Re:Coded are the office hours and the 1:1 sessions we get with our trainers where they help us in technical, emotional and even answer all our questions; we bond and have fun as well. The career prep sessions were amazing because of the wonderful and influential instructors our program officer brought for us. They are trainers who are in the field so we get the best advice on what to do to succeed in our career life. I am forever thankful for Re:coded and never forgetting the advice they gave us since day one and that’s to believe in ourselves.

My experience at Re:coded Bootcamp was nothing short of transformative. The five months I spent there were filled with learning, growth, and camaraderie. The instructors were incredibly supportive and fostered a learning environment where everyone felt comfortable asking questions and making mistakes.
As someone with no prior coding experience, I was initially apprehensive about my ability to succeed in web development. However, Re:coded's comprehensive curriculum and expert instructors guided me through the process, proving that even a non-degree holder like myself could thrive in this field.
Beyond the technical training, Re:coded also provided invaluable career support services, helping me polish my resume, hone my interviewing skills, and navigate the job market.
The friendships I formed during the Bootcamp journey were an added bonus, making the experience even more enriching.
However, I have a concern about the way Re:coded handles students who are struggling to complete the capstone project. In the last month of the Bootcamp, some students were not able to complete the capstone project, because they weren't studying enough. The instructors then gave these students a small project to do on their own. I understand that the instructors wanted to help these students graduate, but I think this is unfair to the other students who worked hard to complete the capstone project. I believe that students who are not able to complete the capstone project should not be allowed to graduate with a Re:coded certificate.
I wholeheartedly recommend Re:coded to anyone seeking a fulfilling career in web development. Their high-quality program, experienced instructors, and supportive staff are sure to guide you towards success.
I hope Re:coded continues to expand its reach, providing more individuals with the opportunity to transform their lives through tech education. Their impact on diversifying the tech industry is truly remarkable.

I completed the 5-month Frontend Developer Bootcamp provided by Re:Coded, and I can confidently say it was a transformative experience. Coming from a background in the Science (Molecular Biology & Genetics) department with zero prior coding knowledge, I embarked on this journey to shift my career. The decision to enroll in this bootcamp turned out to be one of the best I've ever made.
Throughout the course, I received unparalleled support, not only in honing my coding skills but also in terms of emotional encouragement. There were moments when I doubted my abilities, wondering if I would ever secure a job in frontend development. However, thanks to the dedicated instructors and mentors, I was able to overcome those challenges.
Today, I am proud to be a full-time frontend developer, a feat that would not have been possible without the skills and knowledge I gained from this bootcamp. The program not only taught me the technical aspects of frontend development but also emphasized the importance of collaboration and version control. I learned how to make Pull Requests and conduct thorough code reviews, skills that have proven invaluable in my current role.
One of the standout features of this bootcamp was the emphasis on holistic career development. I received invaluable insights into building a successful career in the tech industry. From resume building to interview preparation, the career support provided was exceptional and tailored to individual needs.
In retrospect, this bootcamp was the springboard that launched my career in frontend development. It not only equipped me with the technical skills but also instilled in me a sense of confidence and a deeper understanding of the industry. I am immensely grateful to Re:Coded for providing this life-changing opportunity. If you're considering a career change or looking to enter the world of frontend development, I wholeheartedly recommend this bootcamp. It has the potential to change your life, just as it did mine.

I was acknowledged that I had to put so much time and effort into the bootcamp to get the best out of it because of limited time , but it was average overall. Advanced topics were not covered enough, I believe. One of the good things about the bootcamp was, I had a chance to work with a team when building a project and it gave me insight into how my working life would look like in future as it was pursing industry standart in approaching development process. Yet, either duration or topics covered throughout the bootcamp should be revised not to make future students expect more. During capstone project, I felt so neglected as a member of team. I did not see some instructors as active as they were before the capstone project. The reason why I mention these is that the bootcamp was more appealed to those who would want to have fundamentals of the topics than find a job because it did not provide sufficient knowledge base to apply for jobs. Overall, it was mediocre considering it covered social skills, prepping cv, and mentors. I hope it will get better in future and required remediations will be made soon.

I would like to make my review based on the 3 main topics I rated and to summarize in general. First of all, I am grateful for providing such an opportunity.CurriculumIf I had to start with the topic of Curriculum, I think you have mentioned everything specifically in Frontend Development as current technology.Positive aspects:- The curriculum is comprehensive and covers current technology in Frontend Development.- Weekly responsibilities and study plans help students stay connected to the bootcamp.- High-quality projects toward the end of the program were motivating.- The availability of a platform with materials and supporting resources. Areas for improvement:- The HTML and CSS part is processed in a longer process than necessary. I think it is too long, even for candidates coming from a different background other than engineering. Instead, maybe a basic topic such as what is an algorithm can be added to the first week and a 2-week process can be followed for html and css.- Since the one-line software is a permanent github repo, it may be more appropriate to develop it through a codepen-style application. For example for Github, maybe one big project is given every 3 weeks per month, and I think it will develop more usefully if we repeat and use the topics.- Maybe instead of focusing so much on html and css, assignments consisting of blind75 style algorithm questions can be added in the js section.
Instructors- They were all great people throughout the process. I haven't had any negative experiences with the instructors. I think they did their job in the best way possible. I am so gratefull for that. I would also like to thank all our instructors.Job AssistanceI think the intentions regarding job aid are very good. For example, the event held in Istanbul was nice in terms of meeting people. We had the chance to get to know students from other bootcamps, new graduates and former graduates. Seeing the team made me feel part of the community. The mentoring program is designed as a successful process that will enlighten everyone in need and prepare them for interviews. Thank you also for this. But at the event there seemed to be something missing in the company diversity or the communication there that would place us in the job. Yes, we sent our CVs, but there is a pool and not every student may have the same opportunity and expression. Especially our friends who have no previous experience may have a negative experience. I think maybe you can talk to companies about opening a position specifically for Re:Coded, or a different solution can be produced.Overall ExperienceConsidering my overall experience, Re:Coded will be an organization that I will always be grateful for, as it was a great opportunity that came to me during a time when I was unemployed, questioning my own value, and not seeing any light in life. I am grateful to the entire Re:Coded team, whether I meet or not. I would love for everyone who lost their way like me, who is looking for the light of life again and who loves coding, to benefit from this. Keep shining bright and inspiring others on their tech journey!
