Looking at the amazing application on the web I always wanted to create such an application on my own. In 2018 I got an opportunity to learn web development from this Front End Web Developer Nanodegree Udacity as a part of the Google India reskilling program. I got the full scholarship and got enrolled in this nanodegree. From that day the trajectory of my life has changed. I learned web development from the best instructors who are already working in big companies like Google. I also got my personal mentor who helped me along my learning journey and made my experience great. I could take help anytime I wanted and ask any questions for him. Udacity also has its career service where they actually reviewed my LinkedIn and Github profile and helped me showcase my skills better. I interacted with a lot of students on slack and learned how to grow together. I created amazing projects and also work on some open-source projects. My learning experience was so amazing that I was able to get an internship in the 2nd year of my college and now I am working in a Startup (remote role) while still studying in college. In fact, I also got a chance to apply for Udacity mentorship position and guess what, I am just a mentor also. I'm thankful to Udacity that you gave me such a nice Foundation and helped me shape my career.

I got a fully-funded scholarship at Udacity for the Front End Web Developer Nanodegree program through Google India Scholarships. This program begins with the basics of Web Development to very advanced modern-day applications. Every part of the course is accompanied by projects or at least quizzes, that way we can revise what we had learned and also the videos are not too long which makes it more interesting and less distracting. Each section of the program requires that we submit a project of our own and it is reviewed by moderators. The projects in the nanodegree program are not only engaging but also focusing on even minor things. This way one can be industry-ready. I joined for an internship post this program where my managers where awed by my skills. I'm a freelance front end developer now and I'm grateful that I took up this program at Udacity.

My Udacity Front End Web Developer Nanodegree was one of the best investments of my time I made in 2018.
The courses were taught by the best facilitators and what stood out most about them was the ease of understanding of the concepts taught.
I will easily recommend Udacity for anyone wanting an online course experience they won't forget in a haste.

While I was preparing to switch my career path into the software engineering field, I took some JavaScript courses. I easily grasped the JS syntax and constructs, but those courses were not able to teach me how to think like a programmer. However, after I enrolled for the Nanodegree program, I understood the approaches I need to break complex problems down to programmable chunks.
I appreciate the efforts Udacity's team put into making the course materials beginner-friendly and rich. Thank you Udacity for the impact you have had in my career.

The Front End Nanodegree helped me to fill several front-end skill gaps and helped me to code a website that now has thousands of users. The projects were challenging and I worked hard to complete them. I felt the course was pretty comprehensive compared to front end courses I have tried on popular platforms. I don't think any bootcamp or course can fully prepare you for developing software for the real world but my experience learning in Udacity's nanodegree was an excellent return on investment for me. If you are able to be somewhat independent in your pursuit of knowledge, I see no reason to throw thousands of dollars away on bootcamps when you can simply sign up at udacity which has up to date material and acutal people mentoring and reviewing your work as you go.

I've finished the Frontend Developer Nanodegree in August 2018, thanks to a scholarship provided by Google. I've never coded in my life before, but the course gave me all the basic tools needed to understand and learn more about web development. In other words, they did a great job teaching me how to ride a nice bike :)
The mentorship and the support provided by Udacity is overall very good. I've found extremely useful the project reviews, where a real developer was reviewing my code, providing extremely useful feedback. All the projects are then showed in your GitHub account, and this means that you can use them as a personal portfolio.
After the end of the course, I've also decided to use their "career support". It consists of quite many projects, whose goal is to improve your CV, your LinkedIn profile and to learn how to behave during a technical interview.
In November 2018 (2 months after the "graduation"), I've received my first traineeship offer as a frontend developer and today I'm a happy junior developer.
I can only warmly recommend this course cause it re-pays itself after few months ;)

This course changed my life, I know coding before Joining this course but when I opened my classroom then I got to know how to learn and what to learn? Because the course was relevant to the time and properly formatted, And a student get 1 To 1 Mentor to clear confusion and also we get slack worksapace and a forum to discuss. Udacity also select mentors among us to lead this helps in building leadership qualities. I was also mentor of my branch for a slack channel. The course was tough because you cant cheat in practical projects because your project is being reviewed by a human not AI. Overall a life changing course if you are desperate in starting or kickstarting your career.

Best money I've ever spent in my life! This course is a great place where to start from if you want to be a front end developer or you are one already but looking to improve your skills. I was a self taught front end developer and doing this course shone so much light on every foundamental concept of FED. I've gained so much more confidence, my work quality has improved noticibly and I smashed job interviews! I honestly recommend this course to everyone interested in this sector. Even though it's slightly expensive it's a great value for the money and I didn't regret investing on it :)

I was one of the thousands of Africans that signed up for the Google Africa Scholarship (AKA ALC 3.0). The scholarship is 100% online and scholars learn online using the Udacity platform. The Udacity platform is amazing, I liked a lot to watch the course materials and the quizzes. The content needs to be updated to teach modern approaches. I enjoyed to learn to code with the Udacity support, the mentor's feedback was a plus, a lot of good insights there, really good.

Learning has never been so open, as it is now and with the ever increasing wave of technology sweeping the shores of this tech savvy world, MOOCs (massive open online courses) have become one of the best ways to get access to top notch education at the time and pace of one’s own convenience.
For me learning the nuances of front end web development with Udacity’s Front End Nanodegree Program was indeed a delightful and career changing experience. I come from a mechanical engineering discipline with a humble background in computer science and took the program alongside my job. The Nanodegree Programs are crafted and designed such that every individual who is willing to learn and grow, can take advantage of these career advancing educational platforms.I got my first web development job when I was halfway through the program, which was quite an achievement.
Full marks to Udacity forums and coaches for promptly and patiently answering my silliest of the queries. I would not say that the road to graduation is easy, especially if you are a working professional. It requires some grit and dedication on part of the student to stick with the program until the end. My advice to the incoming Nanodegree students would be to make the fullest use of the discussion forums and one-to-one appointments with the udacity coaches . It is the best way to get going when you get stuck and believe me you will get stuck. It is part and parcel of a new learning curve. Also make sure that you give honest and sincere attempts to the meticulously prepared quizzes in between the lectures. They will eventually make your life easy when you attempt projects at the end of the courses. I personally feel that if we actually intend to learn from an online course we need to get our hands dirty.Listening to lectures over the internet is great, but to manufacture professional skills out of the time and patience we have given to these lessons, we better ensure we make the learning from those lessons practical. This is what nanodegree does best.It makes sure we implement what we learn in form of project submissions and review feedback on the projects. Trust me projects are where the actual learning happens. They make sure we know what we think we know.
Thank-you Udacity for the wonderful educational experience. I currently work as a senior frontend engineer at Porter.in, India. Porter is logictic startup operating across 7+ cities in Indian and is a one stop logistic solution for all your daily needs
