I have just finished my 12 week course at Nology. WOW!!! What a time I've had! I have gone from not being able to code a single line, to developing multiple projects from a fully responsive portfolio, a game, a calculator and many more!!!! As part of the course we also got to work on a project for a real client and learnt a a lot of useful tips and tricks about how to develop in a working environment. The folks at Nology are fab! The coaches are so supportive and motivating, I never felt isolated or that I couldn't ask for help. If you are on the fence about taking a coding crash course..... pick NOLOGY!!! It'll change your life!

Really enjoyed the experience at Nology. The coaches are very helpful and always happy to go over course material that is not very clear or guide you on your personal projects. If you are considering joining Nology I recommend doing as much prep work as possible. Go beyond the pre-course required and look in advance into the topics covered in the curriculum. It will help immensely as the pace is fast.Job support is good and you will be put forward to positions by the Careers team but you have to do your own job hunt as well. I managed to secure a position in less than 2 months after graduating.

I have always been interest in a career in tech, but since I didn't do that good at school as a teenager I kind of gave up to that idea. When covid arrived I finally had time to explore some options and I started to code on my own with the help of some free online resources. As soon as I understood I really enjoyed coding and wanted to take my coding skills further I started to look for a boot camp online, and when I came across _nology I felt like it was the one. After calling them and talking to Jenna who clarified any doubt that I had, I decide to join. After a few weeks on the course I was certain to have taken the best decision of my life, the coaches, Matt and Charlie, teaching methods and explanations were extremely clear and satisfactory, and they were very supportive, willing to guide me through every difficulties.During the second month of the course we worked on a real client project and just few days after the course finished I was offered a job in that very same project! If you are very passionate about coding I definitely suggest you to make that first step and contact _nology.

Everything went as expected. Challenging , educational , engaging and well worth it.

Prior to joining _nology I went to a number of open days with other bootcamps, but the thing that most set _nology apart was that I felt like they genuinely cared about my development - and I can 100% testify to that having completed the course. From day 1 you're encouraged to find your own voice as a junior developer and the focus is always on teaching you to learn, rather than specific content. Having finished the course today, my main feeling is of excitement about what I can go out and learn myself, and I feel confident that they will be backing me in the job market in the meantime. One of the best things about _nology is you can start from scratch, so if you're thinking you fancy a change and haven't had any experience coding, reach out to them or go along to an open day - you'll be surprised at how quickly you can pick things up.

My experience at _Nology has been incredible! I started the course with very little knowledge of software development and tech stacks. I had been looking into becoming a developer since being made redundant due to Covid as I was unhappy in my career. I knew after the taster session with _Nology that this was the course for me. This course has given me the skills and experience to land my first Junior Developer role, I've just finished my 12 week training with a portfolio of work and a React client project to show future employers and I couldn't be happier. I can't thank the coaches and team enough! If you're looking for a bootcamp which will really help you learn and land your first Junior Developer role I would seriously consider Nology!

Nology has got to be the most up-to-date, comprehensive and challenging courses out there. The skills are truly what the market is looking for through extensive react experience and the opportunity to use Angular as well! The course asks a lot of you and helps you out massively with an incredible coaching team; leading to an end result where you achieved more than you thought possible and have a huge smile on your face!

I got a good vibe from _nology as soon as I discovered them, thanks to their super-friendly admissions people. Unlike some courses, where I was facing several weeks' worth of prepatory work before even getting to the technical interview interview, I was able to get the ball rolling very quickly with _nology. They took the time to have a full conversation with me to figure out whether I'd be a good fit for the course, and then arranged for me to spend an hour with a software development coach, who very quickly sussed out exactly how much (or how little?) had learned through independent study, and worked with me through some coding challenges that definitely stretched me, but achievable. I really enjoyed the session and was offered a place on the next intake shortly afterwards.Once I'd signed up, there was a sensible amount of prepatory work to do before the course started—enough to feel prepared, but not so much that I was racing to get it finished, and I was able to work through it at my own pace. The course itself was an awesome experience—even though it was fully remote, the coaches did a great job of bringing the group together, giving us pair programming tasks and even one-on-one sessions when we needed them. The rapport that I was able to develop with the coaches and classmates kept me engaged and focused, and was a big part of keeping me motivated through such a steep learning curve. The curriculum itself was super interesting and engaging, and it was really exciting to learn something every day that I knew I'd be using in my career in just a few months' time. While many bootcamps teach broadly similar coding principles, the specific tech stack I trained on had some key differences to some of the other bootcamps I looked at, and when I was applying for jobs I noticed that this ws much more in line with the jobs market. _nology really do a great job of keeping up to date with trends in the industry. There are so many great things about _nology, but the absolute highlight for me was the client project. _nology's partnerships team did a great job of attracting some really interesting pro bono projects, and the clients came and pitched their app to the trainees. Once we had chosen a project that would be achievable yet challenging, we then got to work building a full stack web app from scratch. I was part of a team of 11 trainees, and we worked hard over four weeks, following industry best practices, and using the tech stack we were being trained on, to build a ticketing system with different levels of user access, functionality to raise and assign tickets, send messages, attached files, and close tickets. It was daunting at the very start, but the coaches really know what they're doing here—four weeks of hard work and solid learning later, I looked back at what we had built as a team and was just so impressed and proud of us! It was an absolutely brilliant piece of work to go on my developer portfolio as it demonstrated so many key learning outcomes, and it looked absolutely brilliant too. Perhaps more importantly, I got a great sense of achievement from it personally and professionally, and it was a great boost to my confidence when I started my job search, knowing that I had this project under my belt.Towards the end of the course, the focus was 100% on employability. We did a really wide variety of practice tech tests, had thorough grounding in interview topics and techniques, and even got to experience a mock interview with one-on-one feedback afterwards interviews. As any job applicant knows, this sort of personalized feedback is a huge help and very hard to come by usually, so it was great to have a practice run before even finishing the course. The coaches tailored our coursework towards projects that would give us the best possible portfolios, and in the final week they even ran some value-add sessions on bits of tech outside the core focus of the course, which I found really useful in being able to have a real breadth of knowledge to draw on in interviews, in addition to the sheer depth of knowledge from the previous eleven weeks.Every week we had "mentoring" sessions, where _nology would bring in someone from the tech industry to talk to the trainees, generally sharing with us about their career and experience of life in the technology industry. It was always a fascinating insight into real life as a developer, and most mentors offered thoughtful advice for people like me just starting out in the industry. Engaging with the mentors and with _nology's network on LinkedIn was also a great way to see what was going on in the market once my job search started, which was great for me as I had no background in tech. The virtual graduation ceremony was a nice touch, and I must say virtually accepting my certificate via webcam in a video conference call was a joyous and most memorable experience!I was very fortunate to accept a job offer after just a four-week job hunt following the course. I felt confident and prepared in the interview thanks to all the interview prep I had done with _nology, and it was an amazing feeling to have all that hard work pay off when the offer came through.Definitely the best decision I've ever made, and I can't recommend _nology enough!

Having previously believed that you needed a computer science degree to work as a developer, I was initially sceptical at the prospect of being able to acquire skills to be developer in three months. However, after attending a taster session back in February and speaking with some current students I decided to take the plunge. This turned out to be a fantastic decision as 4 months after starting the course I landed a job as a Software Engineer! In retrospect it wasn't any one aspect, but the whole package that made the course so great:
Teaching - all the coaches were really great at teaching important concepts and walking through code-alongs, as well as equipping students with the skills that they'd need to find the right answers independently. They were also able to share important nuggets learned from their own work in the industry.
Projects - learning is cemented by building projects using the skills learned. The highlight was the opportunity to work on an MVP project for a real client, which provided a solid framework for what to expect from a job as a developer.
Speakers - We would regularly receive talks from people in the industry, where we'd learn what engineering managers were looking for or important learnings from recent graduates.
Job skills - there's also a focus on preparing to work in a software team, including agile working, how to work with others, giving presentations and interview prep.
Teamwork - though fully-remote, there was still a great sense of camaraderie amongst coaches and students, and loads of chances to pair program.
Pre and post-course support - Aside from the course itself, the pre and post-course support was also excellent and I really enjoyed working with all the staff at _nology.
In summary, if you want to change careers and move into tech, _nology is a great place to start!

The 12 week web development course with _nology was the start of such a journey for me. Having followed a career in West End Musical Theatre, I was starting the course with absolutely no experience in coding. The combination of really getting stuck in and having the most amazing coaches for support meant I learnt so much in such a short space of time. Starting to code in May and then graduating in August led me onto my first job in tech in September. A crazy but fantastic journey and one that I'm still on - the learning never stops. The most productive and life changing way I could have spent a spring/summer lockdown!

After finishing my degree in German and Philosophy, I attended the third cohort at Nology. To cut it short, the course took me from having close to no coding experience to landing a role as a software engineer in just three months.
Everyone on my cohort had wildly different backgrounds which contributed to a great learning environment. Furthermore, I was surprised to find out that there didn't seem to be any correlation between STEM background and coding aptitude (Before attending I was worried that STEM grads would be way ahead of humanists such as me). In fact, Nology made great coders out of everyone on my cohort no matter their educational background and everyone landed a job in development.
Lastly, it is important to stress that a three-month coding transformation doesn't happen by itself. It is hard work. Thus, to get the most out of Nology one has to commit 100%. This means long working hours and many evenings in front of the computer. However, if you don't shy away from hard work, Nology is an ideal place to help you embark on a career in tech. For me, it has been both a rewarding and life-defining experience.

I had a wonderful 12 weeks at Nology, and left the course with an incredible job ready to go. The more employers have exposure to the past and present students, the more interest they seem to be showing. So it is a fantastic way to not only learn how to code in JavaScrippt but to also learn about workplace best practies and then move into an exciting career with loads of potential. The trainers will push you to get the most out of the course, but they are fantastic and really supportive! I highly recommend the course to give yourself a running start in a growing industry and fantastic job.

I have completed the 12-week Nology bootcamp and had an absolute blast learning to be a developer.
The course is intense, and you will be pushed hard throughout, however the extremely experienced trainers and the close-knit group of students working together through the course really do help make great graduates at the end.
The course provides not only excellent coding skills but something I have found to be amazingly beneficial when interviewing for roles is the experience gained around how you will work as a developer. The Agile way of working is pushed as well as the soft skills needed to help you progress throughout your career.
I would highly recommend this course for anyone wanting to break into development who have the drive to be great at what they do!

I’ve just finished a 12-week course at Nology. It’s been an amazing experience and I would highly recommend it to anyone interested in starting a career in software development.
The course is quite intense, 40+ hours a week and an expectation to catch up on concepts and work on personal projects in your spare time. However, none of this was too much as there was a lot of support from the trainers, and the challenges we were set were a lot of fun to complete.
I was impressed that the course didn’t just focus on coding but every aspect of becoming a great developer. For example, we had a week on soft-skills, numerous sessions on career development and interview preparation, and frequent visits from tech CEOs who we could ask questions to. The course is also connected to Opus Recruitment, so through that, we were all set up with interviews in the final week of the course . 2 weeks after finishing I’ve just accepted an offer for a junior developer role in Bath!

I took part in the 3rd intake. Right from the start you can see how much work has been put into it and how they are constantly finding ways to improve.
This are 3 months where you can push yourself the most and have someone with expertise guide all your efforts into the best direction possible. It will give you back as much as you put in, so use the time wisely.
Their aim is clear from the beginning; make you a great developer. And they will treat you as such from the start. It will give real life experience, with a real project and you'll be part of a team who is willing to put as much effort, or eve more, as you.
You may not end up working with the tech they teach, but they will have given you the tools to learn any new tech you get thrown.

My 12 weeks at _nology were incredibly enjoyable, and I have come out of it with so many more skills than when I began. The course is structured really well, and the engaging methods of training are super effective at getting the best out of every single person on the course.
The overall working atmosphere was a massive positive. Everybody is happy to help everybody else, and there is a real emphasis on making everybody the best developer that they can become in the 12 weeks. Collaborating as a group is much more enjoyable than everybody keeping themselves to themselves. The course is hard work, but the team environment makes it much less stressful (as do the regular social events!).
The coding ability that everyone possesed by the end of the course was amazing, especially given that no prior experience is required. The 12 weeks begins with covering the fundamentals and the basics of programming through lots of small, fun coding challenges. By the time the more complex stuff comes up, everyone has been given a real confidence boost by the trainers. Working on genuine client projects towards the middle and end of the course gives valuable experience. Throughout the entire 12 weeks, the trainers were always willing to put in the extra hours to help with any coding issues that anybody had.
Soft skills are also vastly improved. One of my personal favourite activities across the whole course was delivering a TED-style talk to a small group. Soft skills are super important in any industry, not just tech, and _nology certainly filled me with much more confidence when it comes to soft skills.
Overall, you will leave _nology feeling like a well-rounded and confident developer, armed with plenty of valuable skills to start a career in tech. It is not an opportunity to be missed!
Graduate 2019
If you're looking for a way into the tech world, or you have no idea what career path you want to take then this is a fantastic place to start. I went into this course not knowing what HTML was, but I came out with the ability to make full web applications from scratch.
I studied physics at Uni, and even though that looks good on paper, job opportunities outside of the physics world were rare for me. Employers would be making a pretty big investment because they don't know how capable you are. If you do this course, not only do employers know that you have the ability to learn at a fast pace, but you'll also have a demonstratable ability to code and a portfolio of projects you can show them. Type "Junior Web Developer" into "indeed" and you'll be inundated with roles, and by the end of _nology you'll have the skills and potential to fill any of those roles.
The learning environment is the best kind because it only takes the pros from learning in a school and in a job, and mashes them together. It's like a job in the sense that you're gaining all the experience you would in a real job, and a school in the sense that making mistakes has no consequences. It's also the best kind of environment because it's just super fun working with your friends in a collaborative environment.
I feel much more confident in myself. Theres a focus on professional development and I can carry myself so much better in presentations and interviews, which are skills (that are just as important as your coding skills) that you can apply to almost anything you do.
Graduate 2019
The 12 weeks at Nology gives you the best possible start to becoming a developer and starting your career in tech. The core skills learnt aren't necessarily the coding languages but the values that should be in every developer; from building your confidence to becoming more resilent and open to challenges. Those values are nurtured and you are encouraged to take the steps into becoming the best developers you can be!
Having completed Nology I feel much more confident in my ability even though my job uses a different tech stack because of the values instilled into me during the 12 weeks it doesn't feel as much as a challenge. I would highly recommend Nology to anyone who is looking to take their first step into tech, the support you'll have is what makes this course so unique. The trainers are dedicated to make sure you get the very best out of the 12 weeks and will put their very all into helping you succeed.
Graduate 2019
The course at Nology was refreshingly different from other courses I’ve been a part of. The experience I gained from the course was invaluable, not only did we go through the theory and history of coding but the trainers gave us lots of opportunity to put the theory into practice through a series of coding challenges and projects from external businesses.
Over the 3 months of the course I saw a more then noticeable difference in my coding ability, I came to the course with little to no previous coding experience and with the fantastic help of the trainers I left with a great deal of knowledge and experience. The trainers there were extremely helpful with any problems I had with any of my work. I also left with my soft skills being boosted through-out the course.
The type of environment the trainers at Nology promoted was one of collaboration, this made the high intensity parts of the course more easily manageable and made it somewhere I was looking forward to going everyday.
Graduate 2019
The nology course was exactly as advertised, both in terms of what was required of me and what I would get out of it at the end.
The trainers were always willing to spend their spare time working with people eager to get some extra hours in. In addition to this, the candidates selected for the course helped create a collaborative environment that made those times of particularly high intensity more manageable.
During the course my code quality was vastly improved by repeated opportunities to apply what I had learned, whether in isolated challenges or real-world projects. My soft skills also got a boost through the regular contact we had with businesses of varying sizes.
Having never coded previously, choosing to join this course took serious consideration but the fact that 3 months later I was in my first job in the tech industry - and confident I deserved my place there - proves it was a decision well made.
