Coming from a semi-techy background, I've always wanted to pursure coding but needed a curriculum and guidance on how to get from point A to point B. This is where wcoding came in and absolutely smashed it out of the ballpark for me. With small personal classes and an extremely intelligent instructor, the course flew by. Of course, everyone in the class initially had struggled, especially with the pacing, but if you put in the effort in and out of class, you will 110% get what you put in. The way the curriculum was laid out was very helpful for learning and all the little assignments and projects during the weeks definitely added up. By the time the course ended, I was extremely comfortable in HTML, CSS, JS, SQL, and PHP. I cannot emphasize enough on how knowledge and helpful the instructors were. Anytime I had a question outside of class, he was always there to answer, and whenever I stayed late for help, the TAs and instructor would spend the time to make sure I understood everything. Post graduation, we had many sessions of resume review, mock interviews, and constant follow up with wcoding on job availability and networking. While I did not utilize the available resources as I went back home to the states, wcoding followed up with me months after to let me know about potential job openings in Korea. The only suggestion I might have would be to also introduce frameworks into the curriculum as it seems that many employers are looking for people who have some sort of knowledge using React, Django, etc whatever it maybe. At least during my bootcamp, we didn't really go over it. Overall, bootcamp was 100% worth. The curriculum, the personal classes, and the attention that you'll receive to make sure you succeed is unmatched. If you're looking for a career transition into tech/coding, definitely give it a chance here.

Took the Full Stack Intensive Web Dev and thought it was a great curriculum and reasonable price for those who don't have too much dev experience and want to get a feel for it to see if they're really fit as a developer. Would be nice if there were a few lessons for more recent/up-to-date stacks, or brief lecture on DSA to help with interview prep.Includes optional fourth month for those who want to receive guidance while doing another project, resume review, or whatever. Staff and instructor are happy to help, as long as you are proactive in asking them questions. Great friendly community.Will help with job search efforts but job network/connections not super promising, unlike some other bootcamps might be.

Wcoding is an excellent introduction to the tech-world.Originally a marketer, I wanted to change my career and learn new skills in the wake of the Covid19.Being a total computer-illiterate, I joined the Fullstack Intensive course after a positive impression by Kyle and Judy. Even though the courses were not cheap, it is still much affordable than most tech bootcamps in the US or Europe.As I am now landing an internship in an AI company, I can say the curriculum was well-done and useful. It provides good fundamentals in Front and Back-end as well as the skills in demand on the job market. All the workers (from the founders to teachers and interns) are nice, friendly and helpful. I wish to thank them for that.Big thumbs up for the Job Support also. The school provides a custom-made assistance for the students, sharing with them internships/job opportunities and counselling regarding their visa status. On the other hand, it is called intensive for a reason: do not even think of joining if you are not committed. Keep in mind learning new skills and finding a job is a very taxing process. Especially if you have zero scientific/technical background.As far as I am concerned, it was a very stressful experience. If that's the case, be kind to yourself. Work on your portfolio, stick around and look for internships. To conclude, Wcoding will give you the tools, the guideline and the proper environment to start a career in the Tech Industry.Nonetheless, you will need a lot of time and even more practice to land the job of your dreams at Google.It is hard, but it is doable.Now go coding.Pros:- Teaches useful coding languages and essential coding skills (much more effective than self-studying)- Great team: teachers and developers will always make time to listen to you and help you work on your projects.- Our main teacher Marie was professional and encouraging with a non non-sense attitude.- You learn by doing.- Sets you on track for the job market.- Able to network with other developers.- The school never gives up on you as long as you don't give up on yourself.
Suggestions:-How about a slightly longer learning period ? -Create programs based on each student's level (beginner, faux-beginner, experienced and so on...)-Hire more teachers-More counselling about personal development for each student.

As someone who was a genius at programming (meaning I did some css on MySpace) this class was a great experience for me. I was paired up with many people from different levels of coding and as a beginner, I felt bad slowing down the classes with my sometimes repetitive questions but when I couldn't get the concept after a few minutes, the instructor Marie would help me during breaks or after class. I had half the class drop out because as the title says, this is an INTENSIVE class. This means you can't just do the hours without expecting to do homework or miss classes. This is the reason people dropped out. For the ones that stayed, we all found jobs through the help of wcoding. Although they don't guarantee a job after the course, there are so many opportunities that they and the network around them provide.Although it's a short course you learn as much as YOU want to. Marie taught us not only html, css, Javascript, php, and mySQL but also ReactJs which I found very helpful when finding a job. You don't just learn from textbooks and get placed in dead end job like a lot of Korean hagwon nightmares stories I hear from my friends who've learning to code but actually learn useful things that will help in the field. Switching careers from a hair stylist to a programmer would have been nearly impossible without their assistance. I highly recommend taking this course if you're serious about learning to program.

Awesome curriculum and a great teacher!I joined the Fullstack Intensive course at WCoding after spending about 1 year studying by myself using free online resources. I learned the basics of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript from FreeCodeCamp, TreeHouse, YouTube, etc., but I wasn't making much progress and was still unable to do anything on my own. I could follow along with tutorials and solve simple isolated challenges, but I needed help putting it all together to start building complete projects. The course was intense, and I had to do a lot of reading for homework each day, but it was exciting to be learning so much every day. The instructor, Marie, was good at explaining the material, and the assignments gave excellent, practical experience working with all of the new tools that we learned about. Marie almost never gave direct answers to the challenges, but she would give hints and suggestions to help me figure it out on my own. She gave me all the tools necessary to complete the task, but it was up to me to figure out how to put everything together and make it work. Some days were really difficult, but those were also the days where I learned the most. I've heard of other bootcamps where the instructor pretty much gives you the code, and their only goal is to give you a portfolio to go apply for jobs with. That's not at all what this bootcamp is. You will build a rock solid understanding of the fundamentals that will help you learn how to learn. You will struggle, but you will also learn so so much! I should stress that it is an intensive course, and the instructor, Marie, treats it as such. She expects you to listen well, do the daily readings, and take notes so that the class can keep moving at a decent pace.

I completed the Full Stack Intense Web Dev course a few months ago. The good thing was that the course provided a good guideline on what to study. The order in which you learn things is good and towards the end, you know how to put all the pieces together. The actual content was good and easier than I expected. You learn the basics of JavaScript, not much of actual computer programming or algorithms but it's a Web Development course.What I didn't like about the course was the instructor. I signed up for this course mainly because I was expecting to have a good instructor who would explain things well and answer questions. This certainly wasn’t the case, this instructor often answered questions with "because that's how it is”, “I already talked about this" or "you can look it up yourself" etc. She would easily get frustrated and talk to students in a condescending way. There was a quick lecture in the morning, then you’re basically on your own, working on projects and trying to figure stuff out from Google. The only time the instructor would pretend to be interested in what students were doing was when other employees or her bosses were around. The course material wasn’t difficult, but the instructor made it a stressful experience.I took dozens of classes at different universities, and this was one of the worst classes I ever attended. It’s not worth the cost and there are no refunds after the first week of the course. Most people do complete it because they expect the company to help them find employment. I was lucky to find a job from a job fair they recommended, but with just the knowledge you obtain from this course, you’re not qualified for most of the developer jobs. Unfortunately, this bootcamp is one of the very few options for people who don’t speak fluent Korean and want to learn how to code in Korea, and the company takes advantage of this situation.Even though all other employees at Wcoding were nice and helpful, for some reason they didn't seem to be too concerned with students complaining about the instructor. I finished this course a while ago, but I can’t stop thinking about this how bad this experience was. This review is strictly for the Full Stack Web-Dev full-time course, other courses are thought by different people as far as I know.

Full Stack Intensive was a pretty great course. My instructor Marie was very experienced and has a good eye for how to pace the course. The course is tough at times, and I'm glad I did some online courses first, but it's totally worth it. By the end you'll have a good feel for how development works and how to think about code. And after you finish the core course, you'll be directed towards building your own portfolio.The main course is well ordered. HTML/CSS first, then Javascript, then PHP and MVC. It's tough to take it all in, but it doesn't matter too much if you don't. You'll have access to the online materials to review in the future if you need them. I found the process intense (it's called intensive after all) but I didn't feel overwhelmed. If you need anything, Marie will tell you exactly what you need, she's great at seeing exactly what's wrong. Her written materials can be challenging for beginners as they don't always spell out the basics, but overall they're a wealth of knowledge that I referred back to a lot.The final month you build a project together in a group. Marie acts as 'Senior Developer' and 'Client' at the same time, and helps drive the project along, giving coding assistance if you need it. The project is whatever you want to make, something you come up with together as a group. Marie insisted on best practices, but gave us control of 'Trello' where we assigned work to each other. By the end we made something pretty decent that demonstrates coding in an MVC framework.After the course you have a portfolio building month and then pay for further months at 100,000원. I paid for one extra month, and found the job support from the staff very useful. They performed mock interviews, gave project ideas and recommended further study. I managed to make some pretty decent React projects from the study recommendations and ideas. After that you can still ask questions about jobs, projects and ask for mock interviews online if you need to. With the expectations of programming jobs these days, it won't get you a job on it's own, especially not in Korea. But it is a good start to understanding code and beginning a journey towards employment.
Overall, it's been a positive experience.

Always thought it is very important to learn a technical skill, but never actually started to learn any till I met a friend that told me about W coding. The course was starting in 2 weeks and I didn't have time to think a lot, the decision to apply for the course was a rush decision, but I will never regret it!The course is perfect for beginner level programmers and even for people without programming background , but it is VERY intense, so be ready to study on your own a lot too! I met really good friends there and had one of the best teacher in my life! Marie (the instructor) was helping me a lot individually after class as I was the only person with no programming background at all. Studying in a group was very interesting I could see in how many different ways one same task could be done. Was fun to work on final project all together in last month too!It was very good experience, I learned a lot about coding, but what is the most important for me I learned how to learn, how to work in a team and stay disciplined! :}

I had been researching into different coding bootcamps for a while, but living in Korea as an English speaker, I was worried I would have to return to my home country to take a course. However, after some positive word of mouth, I learned about Wcoding and their English classes. The class instructor and administration staff were all fluent in English, which made everything a lot more comfortable for me. They were very helpful and responsive whenever I had any questions. The course itself was the perfect fit for me. The smaller class size meant I was able to form a great relationship with my fellow students and the instructor. If I ever struggled with a concept I felt very comfortable asking for help and clarification. The instructor was young, kind, enthusiastic, and encouraging. The technology taught was perfect for a beginner. It provides students with a solid foundation with which to build upon and develop their skills further. Programming can be a vast and overwhelming topic to someone just starting out, but thanks to the bootcamp I was given excellent guidance. Before studying at Wcoding I really didn't know where to start, but thanks to the great course structure I was soon put on the right path.

3 years ago i had a first experience with Wcoding by joining their Python night class. Which was good already but, since then the environment changed a lot. So much improvement.So i started this batch with a bit of basics which i picked up during the python class. I bet this helped me a little, but definitely not needed to join the bootcamp. We started for the first 2 weeks with some Html/Css trying to reproduce to small website, then we moved on with Javascript and Php.During Javascript/ Php we were assigned a small project to work on after the class to keep practicing and improve our skill ( html/css)What i liked the most, is the fact that i knew what i would learn on the day, cause we were assigned some small reading homework, so that the next day we already had an overview of the coming class. Then the Teacher was going through the homework and added more information and also demonstrating it which made the learning process way simpler.And of course after the presentation we had to solve some problems or build small projects to apply what we just learned.At the end with the others students, we had to create a final project, we had to put all together what we learned along the journey to build it and that was so cool, already to see the progress we all made by comparing what we were building at first and then now. That was like "woooowwwww" hahaCouldn't leave without giving a word to our Teacher. We can see that she has experience in programing and also in teaching by making some complicated concept very easy to understand.

Although I didn’t get to finish the bootcamp curriculum at Wcoding, I still feel like I had an opportunity to learn a lot about web development in the month I spent there.The marketing team at Wcoding played a major role in helping me in my learning. Kyle and Judy were especially helpful in coordinating the course between the students and the instructors. Kyle even went a step further by pairing me with one of their developers, who offered to mentor me weekly on a one on one basis, outside of class hours.I also really liked how convenient it was for me to get to their campus, as they are located near central Seoul on Line 1. The campus is located in a very interesting area with nice cafes and restaurants nearby. I definitely enjoyed spending my time around the area, even after class hours. One drawback of Wcoding for me was the major communication issues between the students and the main instructor, on both personal levels and in the scope of learning. Without getting into the details, I would say the issues in my communication with my professor was one of the main reasons I had to leave the boot camp early.Another issue I encountered at the boot camp was in the functionality of the curriculum. Since their bootcamp accepts anyone into their program, regardless of one’s educational or technical background, I noticed there was a huge discrepancy in the level of different students’ coding skills. This made the whole learning experience not as functional. Oftentimes I felt like the instructor would casually loop through a topic without going into much detail on each concept, just because the majority of students already had some sort of background in coding. This might have been a personally driven conclusion, since I know that every batch hosts students from different backgrounds. So I also understand that every batch would have a different course pace. However, I still think that there was clearly a lack of foundational explanation provided by the instructor. For example, the instructor was not even able to introduce different data types when we were first being introduced to JavaScript fundamentals. Fundamental concepts like boolean,number, and string types were skimped over, whereas even the online tutorials would go into these concepts. Towards the end of my journey at Wcoding, I just wasn’t able to catch up with their course pace. Therefore, I ended up unfortunately making a decision to terminate my learning early. Overall, I had a positive experience at Wcoding because I was able to learn some basic programming. Now I’m ready to be a self taught programmer! Thank you Wcoding and all the best luck in the future!

I had been interested in coding for a couple years and had tried online courses/self study before I decided to join the wCoding bootcamp. I decided that if I really wanted to change my career path, then I needed to invest more time and effort into studying coding. wCoding was the perfect solution. Pros:- Learned useful coding languages and essential coding skills (much more effective than self studying)- Teacher made the abstract concepts understandable and was friendly- Worked with a group on a final project- Able to network with other coders/developers of all different varieties - Secured a coding job within 1 month of graduating - The schedule was perfect for meCons:- Location was far from my house
