I've been using Dataquest to learn data science since 2023, and it's been a fantastic experience. The platform offers a structured, hands-on approach that really helps you grasp the concepts. Instead of just watching videos, you dive right into coding and problem-solving, which has significantly improved my skills.One of the things I appreciate most is the real-world focus. The projects and datasets are practical, giving you a taste of what working in data science is really like. The guided projects are particularly helpful for building a portfolio, which is crucial for anyone looking to break into the field.The learning paths are well-organized, taking you step-by-step from beginner to more advanced topics. I started with the basics and gradually moved on to more complex subjects like machine learning.However, there's room for improvement. Sometimes, I found myself seeking additional resources to fully understand certain concepts. Also, the coding interface, while functional, could be a bit more user-friendly and responsive.Overall, Dataquest is a solid choice for anyone serious about learning data science. It provides a comprehensive, hands-on education that prepares you for real-world challenges. If you're willing to put in the effort, you'll come out with a strong foundation in data science.

I'm learning data science in python from dataquest and my experience with it is by far amazing. The course beginner friendly so I don't have to jump around blogs or yt tutorials to get the theory. And after completing the theory I have to do practical coding questions related to the theory and the good part is the coding is done on integrated jupyter notebook which is widely used in the current market so it's a win win for me to apply my coding skills in jupyter notebook in dataquest itself. I used dataquest for like 2 hours around daily and didn't encountered any technical issues or whatsoever, it runs everytime smooth for me. Also just to give some advice who want to learn data science from dataquest, try gaining as much knowledge as you can and solve projects also after doing that you must participate in kaggle in order to make your works visible to the world. Actually I want to learn data scientist in python. So, i searched many platforms to study data scientist. But finally I got data quest. Data quest platform is not like others. It's only text format not videos. So, it easy to understand.

I am an HR professional without any formal education in data science or IT. Last year, I started with Dataquest, after some research, with the aim to develop understanding of the field and explore the possibility of switching careers. Before DQ, I had taken a few courses from Coursera and a diploma in Big Data Analytics from a university. Initially, I was not very sure about the DQ's methodology but with time I realized that their system is very efficient and perfectly suits my learning style. I would definitely recommend DQ, their content is thorough and methods are simple, reinforcing, as well as without any distractions.

I used Dataquest since 2019 and I double my income in 4 years and became a Data Scientist. That’s pretty cool! I’m sure other platforms could have also done the same thing but this is my experience. I don’t have any negative things to said and I’m pretty hard to satisfy so they are definitely doing the right things. I still have access to their platform since I purchased a lifetime membership years ago. I’ve finished the Data Science career pathway and now I’m running out of courses to take within DQ. I do wish they invest more in AI courses, e.g., large language models, deep learning, AI agent development, etc. Hopefully, someone will see this post and start creating more advanced course in AI. Long story short, great platform you won’t regret it!

Although I haven’t had to reach out to customer support much, the few times I did, I was impressed by how quickly and kindly they responded. It’s very comforting just to know there's a supportive team ready to help if I ever need it.
Overall, the feeling I have is that Dataquest isn't just about acquiring knowledge, it's about knowledge and also truly understanding and applying it, which has made a significant difference in my learning experience, before Dataquest I didn't knew how to apply a lot of things and didn't have a portfolio, and this has changed a lot since I started to use the platform.I highly recommend it to anyone serious about advancing their skills in data science.

I would 100% recommend Dataquest to anyone looking to expand and enhance their data science skills.  I was very impressed with the level of detail and how in-depth the learning was (I've tried DataCamp and found their material to not be as in-depth, although DataCamp does offer more content). Dataquest is much more akin to what you'd get from a university's certificate program with tons of project based/hands-on learning. I've been beyond satisfied that I chose Dataquest to help me achieve my goals. 

Good website for beginners to learn data related skills, a lot hands on practice exercises and the theory part are clear and easy to understand (but some parts are too long and not organized in order, sometimes mess up). The summary document at the end of each course are useful 

The curriculum is quite comprehensive with great hands-on practice. The challenging nature of guided and portfolio projects make the learning very enriching. Also not to forget the additional practice questions which is helping me keep up with my skills.

I have completed my course on data science in python. I have gone through all the assignments and activities. Best part of this bootcamp is that you can read and understand the concept and can practice along side by side you don't have to go somewhere else to practice neither you have to change the tab compiler is inbuilt in half side of the screen. And project after every chapter is something which makes the course unique.

I learnt python from dataquest and trust me it's the best way possible out there for someone who is absolute beginner to get the concepts clear as a crystal. The approach to solve the questions are unique. After reading the theory I was headed to practice where I applied my theoretical knowledge into practical coding. The questions were super relevant and to the point with respect to theoretical knowledge. And after solving questions I was directed to solve some projects which again enhanced my coding skills. If you’re able to have it paid for by your employer, Dataquest can be a godsend. It’s a robust platform with its own dedicated IDE and plenty of documentation to review for use after.Before Dataquest, Python seemed like a scary prospect— I was very much a SQL and Excel analyst but knew I had to broaden my horizons. As someone able to learn independently, Dataquest fit perfectly into my schedule. It’s all self-paced learning, meaning that I could transform the lull between work projects into meaningful career development.Sometimes I’m on Dataquest everyday, sometimes just once a week. I’m able to learn at a pace that works with real life. Helping that is the robust community surrounding the tool with its own ticketing system and discourse— very few problems you may encounter haven’t been already troubleshot by others.Dataquest will become a valuable asset to me as I seek to further my Data Science education in a graduate school setting and continue to practice in my current role as a Data Analyst. My journey with Dataquest began with an online Microsoft program offering scholarships for students to learn Azure. As I started using the platform, I discovered an amazing community that encouraged engagement through sharing and collaboration. I stumbled upon the machine learning material and eagerly began learning. While I had prior project experience, Dataquest inspired me to share my learnings on social media, taking on the role of a teacher to break down concepts for others.
After consistently sharing for about 4 months, I received an invitation to interview for a machine learning engineer position at Meta. They were impressed with my profile and passion for learning. During the initial screening, I realized the need to brush up on data structures and algorithms, and once again, I turned to Dataquest for guidance. As a senior medical student, I'm not seeking full-time roles, but the interview experience—simply from posting about my learning journey—has been incredibly rewarding and proves that anyone willing to go the extra mile can do it.
I love how Dataquest encourages learning in public and emphasizes the value of peer support. Their incremental learning approach helps learners grasp concepts deeply, which, from my experience, is exactly what top companies seek: individuals who understand the fundamentals and can explain them clearly to anyone.

Dataquest is precisely what I was looking for; the perfect mix of challenging and supporting. Their courses are laid out by folks clearly familiar with best practices in education. The Dataquest courses do not invite users to simply copy or modify existing code, but rather to write original code, and more importantly, to _think_.

When I started to learn Data Science more and more I realized how much breadth of knowledge is necessary.
I don't have a CS degree background and have been doing data analysis and BI development in the last 3 years but that gives me only SQL and a few proprietary BI language, however to be a good performing data scientist technically is required a lot of knowledge across various areas and I soon felt lots of gaps, hence the reason I embarked in the Data Science Python path.
By looking at the curriculum it was what I needed to fill those gaps like, Linear Algebra, Calculus, Command Line, Git besides the core Pandas, Matplotlib and Machine Learning.
Regarding the content I think I hesitated not having videos, because I am very visual learner, but in the end was the BEST think for me, because as you take the course you are forced to get your hands dirt and learn by doing through repetition.
The platform is awesome, the explanation, graphics and examples are very well done and start simple and progress to more challenging exercises pushing you to learn a lot.
I am impressed with me how much I progressed.
The community is very supportive and the forum and chat help a lot and also gives you opportunity to help others as you become more knowledgeable with experience.
I push to finish the total curriculum in 2 months and it was worth it. There is progress % and completion which keeps track of your hours and completion. I set a weekly target of 20h a week and it was the best thing I did.
I recommend buying the monthly subscription as it pushes you to finish early and move on to the next thing and to practice. I know that if I signed up for the year procrastination would kick in.
Point of improvement is only one. The IDE can be VERY VERY VERY Slow to the point of irritate you and your progress only gets recorded if you use their online IDE. The Jupyter Notebooks integrated in the platform works fine. As fast as local, but the "IDE" to complete the exercises suck big time.
Despite all that, I high recommend.
