Data Science & Machine Learning Online Part-Time Bootcamp

I am enrolled in Data Science and machine learning course. I am learning all fundamentals and advanced concept deeply. After this course, students will be future ready for professional jobs in companies.

I took this bootcamp because I wanted to improve my data science/ programming skills. My background is in International Business and I am switching into this field. I found it great! I was a beginner in programming without a background in math, computer science or statistics so I wanted to try a bootcamp where some previous knowledge was not required. Coding Dojo helps you with a week of pre-bootcamp and then you start the whole bootcamp. I really liked that since the beginning people contact you, your counselor, your instructor, career services, etc. They give you immediate access to the learning platform,  to the schedule, to the activities, etc. I feel that you do not get lost with all the new things you have to learn and do. I have taken other online courses/bridges programs and it did feel like you were there by yourself and if you learn something good for you because 'we do not care' and it was totally different with Coding Dojo. They give you real support! The platform is very interactive, Instructors and TA's really help you, they send you emails when you are behind asking how they can help, etc. The community and classmates were very nice too, they helped me many times. I can say that it is worth the money and your time. 

I took the Data Science 12 week bootcamp.  Be aware that in a 12 week course, you have 24 actual classroom hours (2 1-hour meetings per week) where the instructor goes over a powerpoint, then demoes some of the concepts you're learning that week.  They attempt to get to the point where there is time for a group exercise (of which there is little value) but there is rarely time for that due to the overwhelming number of questions from students (in my class there were more than 25 -- hard to be sure because I wasn't clear how many were TAs of the 30+ that were logged in).Personally, I expected much more facetime with an instructor and was disappointed by this.  I was also disappointed by the heavy reliance on a learning platform that was being built as we went along and was full of errors that I frequently reported.It's also worth noting that in my course, we had a highly qualified instructor for the first 4 weeks, a new to teaching instructor for the second 4 weeks (who had a backup to help with student questions), and another brand new instructor for the last 4 weeks that was actually a TA during the first 8 weeks.You should also be aware that they have a monthly drawing for prizes for people that submit reviews.Now, if you think this kind of experience is worth $8500+ then this is the place for you.  I did not, and will not be recommending them to any of my peers.

The Data Science program offered by Coding Dojo is rigorous but very rewarding and so worth the time and money spent! I joined with no background in coding and no understanding of what a Data Scientist does. The curriculum is in-depth, clear, concise, and fun to work around. During the course, you have to complete tasks by the end of the week like reading, assignments, projects, and exams. At times you will feel stuck but there are many code walk-throughs, videos, and solutions that will help you out. Plus the people at Coding Dojo like your instructor, the ta's, and classmates are more than willing to help you out. For now, I believe they have one data science instructor, Noelle and she's amazing!!!! Very helpful with explaining topics clearly, always offered a lot of support, and just wanted you to succeed! There is no such thing as a dumb question so make the most out of attending office hours and you will do great! As someone that is brand new to the field of Data Science, there is a lot you can add to your resume (tools, projects, portfolio)! I have to say though there's not enough support for job hunting after the program. I like that they offer career services but it's more for students that have graduated from the coding workshops. They don't have enough individuals that have experience as a Data Scientist to offer detailed workshops. Once I graduated I walked out with a lot of knowledge that I couldn't have done through self-studying and confidence to apply for jobs as a Data Scientist. Through the community of Coding Dojo, you build so many connections that stick even after the bootcamp. My advice is to make the most of the 12 weeks! Always reach out for help, dedicate time every day so you don't fall behind, and enjoy the process. The more you put into it the more you get out of it!

I had tried a lot of self paced bootcamps and courses before Coding Dojo's Part Time Data Science Bootcamp, and I either quit due to being very confused and left without access to help, or I quit because the content was so long, drawn out and boring that I just couldn't pay attention.Coding Dojo's style was perfect for me. Short explanations, decent code examples and then tons of immediate practice followed by a solution on completion of an assignment so you can immediately gauge how well you grasped the material and what you needed to review.The instructor COULD NOT HAVE BEEN MORE AMAZING!!!! She was always helpful, never got frustrated with repetitive or 'dumb' questions, and gave positive reinforcement and encouragement regularly.For what we were able to cover, I felt I grasped the content well enough to be able to venture out on my own. I only wish I could have done the full time course so I could have learned more material under their guidance.

I completed both a full-stack Python and Data Science PT bootcamp with Coding Dojo.  Can't say enough great things about the school, it's online curriculum platform and relevance to current industry standards.  I was fortunate to have both Michael and Noelle as my main instructors through both platforms, and cannot say enough about their patient teaching methods.
