I graduated from the Cybersecurity Bootcamp from Quickstart that was offered through The University of Texas Arlington. I had a previous degree in Cybersecurity from another school but was still lacking any hands-on knowledge. Quickstart Bootcamp not only helped me be refreshed on textbook learning but also gave me the opportunities through projects and labs to complete hands-on learning. I'm a hands-on learner so I was absolutely in love with this program! My learning coach was amazing and would help at any given point or time. He made everything become more clear and if we had any questions with our projects he would walk us through on zoom. I highly recommend anyone wanting to get into Cybersecurity to look into Quickstarts program!

Attending Quickstart's 24-week cybersecurity boot camp was truly transformative. From mastering network fundamentals to delving into ethical hacking and penetration testing, the program provided a seamless journey. Coming from a healthcare background, I found the curriculum easy to follow yet comprehensive. The instructor's care and entertaining approach made learning engaging. What I appreciated most was the hands-on experience offered through diverse projects. Additionally, the program's inclusion of accountability meetings, resume builders, and mock interview prep added immense value. Overall, it was a rewarding experience that equipped me with essential skills and support for a successful transition into cybersecurity. Highly recommended!

I was contacted about a 26-week Cyber Security boot camp through Quickstart at the University of Texas at Arlington. I was sold and was anxious to start. The first several weeks were more or less a review for me being in IT for the past 7 years, however, when we got into the good stuff oh man it was fantastic. I learned so much in such a short time. I was able to write a Python program to scan ports, and before you knew it I was hacking into systems. It's so much fun and a great place to start. Approximately 3 months after graduation, I interviewed and received an offer from the US Navy as a SYSADMIN INFOSEC IT SPECIALIST. I owe it all to Quickstart and the Cyber Security Bootcamp.

This bootcamp is a great way for you to get foundational knowledge on multiple different parts of the tech industry and how you can use that knowledge for cybersecurity. The projects allow you to get hands on experience to the work a lot of IT professionals do to fully grasp the concepts in the course materials. After this bootcamp I was able to obtain my CompTIA Security+ certification with the things I learned plus some additional learning I did after graduating. If you’re really interested in building a foundation and learning where to start, this is a great place.

Hi, my name is Calvin, and I took Cybersecurity Bootcamp online with QuickStart. The 24-week program was offered by QuickStart through the University of Texas at Arlington. My bootcamp mentor was great! We met twice a week in the evening through Zoom and he answered all the questions students had. There were a lot of hand-on virtual labs for me to learn and gain experience, from hardware to software, networking to cybersecurity, and ethical hacking to CySA+. The students were assigned four projects (you can later use them to showcase your knowledge to recruiters), from setting up and configuring a virtual network with different servers and Kali machines. Another project was involved in writing a Python script to scan for open TCP ports. The last two projects involved Ethical Hacking and Cybersecurity Analyst working with pfSense and Snort. There was another project about penetration testing for those students who wanted to take pen testing pathway, Overall, I learned and gained a lot of knowledge in cybersecurity with QuickStart Bootcamp. Career Service has been awesome, I graduated at the end of April 2023 and have been receiving coaching on different topics, from how to build an eye-catching resume to one-on-one discussion about soft skills employers were looking for, how to do Boolean search for better results on LinkedIn, Indeed, and Dice, etc. The commonly asked behavioral interview questions were discussed as well to prep me for successful interviews. QuickStart provided me free access to Enhancv.com, which is an online resume builder. Overall. the career service staff are wonderful people I have got to know and became acquainted, I [now] feel that career service staff have become my family! I'm currently going to school at GCU to get my master's degree in cybersecurity. But rest assured that I would not be able to get in the master program without QuickStart's Cybersecurity Bootcamp. Mr. Childress, a student counselor at GCU, affirmed that I was accepted to the program because I have had cybersecurity courses. I am doing quite ok at GCU in my master program thanks to the solid foundation in cybersecurity I received from QuickStart. Please think again if you expect that, after you sign up for QuickStart's Cybersecurity Bootcamp, complete the program, you will get hired by a great company. I agree that the mentors and career service staff are wonderful, they try to help and get you ready for interviews, in all ways can be thought of. But it is up to you to make the impression on your interviewers, it is up to you to "sale yourself" to the managers who decide whom to hire. I've heard and actually "talked to" - through LinkedIn, a newly graduation from QuickStart, who landed a dream job with GM Financial after six weeks post graduation. I guess she really knows "how to sale herself to the interviewing managers".

This bootcamp is a great, hands-on experience for anyone interested in getting into the security field of IT. Do not be fooled though, this is an accelerated program and you WILL have to put the time and effort in. If you decide to go through the program, please do not get discouraged on finding a job. The career counselors will greatly assist you, but I highly recommend you start networking early via friends, family, and LinkedIn. Upon graduating, I was able to land an IT Technician job at a school district quite a distance away from home. Within a year and a half of landing that role, I found another position close to home as a System Admin, and was recently promoted to Security Admin at the same company. Trust the process and feel free to reach out to me on LinkedIn: linkedin.com/in/zzell0998

I started with quick start because I needed a Cyber Security Boot Camp that was affordable and had a good reputation. I researched several schools and decided Quick Start was my choice. I have always found the course to be well organized and support available at every step. My Course Mentor is a great instructor who prioritizes information for his students and guides them through the course. I am about half way through the course and I am very happy with my progress. There is a lot of information and it does take committed study, but I feel I am in the right place to get the best possible education.

I invested considerable time in researching the most suitable course for my career path and ultimately decided on Quickstart. Embarking on the cyber security bootcamp in mid-May, I successfully completed it within the expected timeframe, finishing in late October. My instructor, William Clark, was exceptional. His expertise was consistently on point, and he was always ready to provide additional assistance outside of class when needed.
The course significantly bettered my preparedness for future certifications, surpassing what other programs could offer. Following the completion of the course, my career coach, Gwen Gayhart, played a pivotal role. Her guidance was phenomenal, and I genuinely believe I wouldn't have secured a job without her insights. Having navigated unemployment and career pivots multiple times, I can confidently say that Gwen and the Quickstart team stood out as the best I've ever worked with.
Their advice proved invaluable, and I can attest that following their guidance yielded the desired returns. I am genuinely thankful for this experience. Thank you, Quickstart!

Originally drawn by the program which is low cost compared to others but I learned very quickly that it was not worth it. The videos are unedited and practically is a guy reading a PowerPoint (the slides are not provided). You can find better curriculums from letsdefend or hackme at a fraction of the price. The job assistance is also a joke, they don't help you find jobs and all they ever do is post jobs which you're highly unqualified for. Run away from quickstart, they are a bunch of scammers who prey on individuals who want desperately change careers.

The ONLY positive thing to say about this school was the instructor, Michael..however the school is planning to phase him out sadly. Every other person who works here is virtually useless. The labs hardly work, the "lecture" videos are horrendous, better to watch youtube. You will literally learn nothing and job placement is non existent. When you attempt to complain about the school to the school's advisor he will either outright ignore you or deny all your claims. Lastly, career placement does not exist. They do not help for anything and they will not help you find a job. This course is literally a scam and I wish I could get my $6800.00 back as I wasted 6 months and a lot of money.

It is a good program, I loved it, but it is definitely a fast paced program. I was able to understand and follow the program but towards the end, it did get a bit faster pace. Which I did fell behind. The project does help a lot, it teaches you a lot of good tools. I do wish that the program would be guided and driven to learn about the project, but I guess that is the way the program was created to make you think outside the box and get you out of your comfort zone.Francisco Ventura

They try and lure you in with promises of getting you a job once you're done with the course, but they'll never get you one. I get ghosted by my career counselor every day, and you get removed from the "career services" if you don't have any activity in your job search, and with your career counselor ghosting you, you can imagine how quickly you get removed. I made an account on this site just so I could help you out, PLEASE do not give these people your money.

This bootcamp was vital in my career change. The job assistance is elite and would not have been able to do it without the support of the staff along the way. The coach was excellent breaking down lectures to any learning level and was always willing to help students out.

The program went by fast but it was at alot good information. The projects helped understand what I was learning. The job training was good with resume building and having professional look after the resume. Quickstart introduced me to many opportunities and lead me promising career after graduating.

To start off, everyone at QuickStart was and still is extremely helpful and respond quickly. The instructor for the class was amazing! Coach Bill was above excellent. The projects do prepare you for entry into the field. Take advantage of every resource they have, cause it will help you get started into the field. Already looking into another program proved by QuickStart.

I was looking to change careers from retail to IT. If you're looking for an opportunity to learn at your own pace while still working or taking care of a family, this course would be perfect for you. The courses don't overwhelm you. My coach was wonderful and was always available to answer any questions that I had. The job assistance team was fantastic. They have a wealth of knowledge and resources to get you noticed. I was very fortunate to get hired in just a few month after graduation.

Quickstart cloud program is a scam. The video are of lower quality than you will find on youtube. The quizes are 5 questions. Not the in depth program that they advertise. Also, their support group is a joke. Save yourself money and just watch youtube.

I had a great experience with this program! I just want to say thank you to Aly and the team for being patient and helpful with me and helping me get through! This is a great learning platform, where you will be surrounded by a group of people that actually care about your educational experience. I had a close working relationship with my counselor who helped me through the learning process.

Great program both professors were well knowledge & cared about their students. Many different subjects to learn about & to go over. Over 50+ labs, not sure the exact number, practice exams for each subject, online lecture videos, & live professor classes weekly. Would recommend to a friend or family member.Michael my coach and Aly my Academic Advisor both have been great help.Thank you so much and strongly recommend.
