Cyber Security Specialist

Pengalaman belajar saya di Program Studi Independen Course-Net sangat berkesan. Saya mengikuti kelas Cyber Security Specialist, di mana saya mempelajari dasar-dasar pemrograman seperti C, Java, dan Database, serta materi tentang Computer Networking dan Cyber Security (CEH & CHFI). Kelas ini juga menyediakan berbagai soal dan studi kasus nyata yang dilengkapi dengan latihan untuk mengasah kemampuan saya.Saya juga mendapatkan wawasan baru, terutama di bidang Digital Forensics, seperti Mobile Forensic dan Network Forensic, yang sebelumnya belum pernah saya pelajari.Belajar di Course-Net sangat menyenangkan karena dibimbing oleh coach berpengalaman yang membuat setiap sesi menjadi bermanfaat. Pengalaman ini membuka wawasan saya tentang dunia IT Networking dan Keamanan Siber, serta memotivasi saya untuk terus belajar dan berkembang.Terima kasih banyak kepada Course-Net yang telah memberikan pengalaman belajar yang luar biasa dan membantu saya menemukan potensi baru!

My time with the Course-Net Indonesia SIB program has been a really positive. Over the past four months, I’ve gained a solid understanding of Cyber Security, which seemed like a huge challenge at the start. The course covers a lot of ground—penetration testing, buffer overflows, reverse engineering, mobile pentesting, containerization, and network attacks, to name a few. What I really appreciate about this program is how it covers a wide range of topics while also diving deep enough to give us real, hands-on skills.
MentorshipOne of the biggest strengths of the program is the mentorship. The mentors aren’t just instructors—they’re actual cybersecurity professionals with tons of real-world experience. This isn’t a typical video course where you just watch and learn on your own. Instead, it’s interactive and gives you the chance to ask questions, learn from people who are in the field, and hear their personal stories. Whether we were working with tools like Metasploit, NMAP, or platforms like TryHackMe, the support from these mentors made a huge difference. Their passion for the subject and their genuine interest in our progress really stood out.
Soft Skills DevelopmentOn top of the technical skills, I also noticed I grew a lot in terms of soft skills, especially time management and the ability to learn on my own. These are really important in cybersecurity, where things are always changing and there's always more to learn. The coaches also spent a lot of time talking about social engineering, which I hadn’t realized is such a big part of cybersecurity. They showed us how psychological tactics play a role in real-world attacks, and we even got the chance to practice some of these concepts. That made the whole experience feel much more practical and gave me a deeper understanding of how the field works.
Support SystemThe support system in the program was fantastic. Even when things seemed complicated, the mentors were always available to guide us through it. The hands-on approach using real tools and platforms kept everything practical and engaging. The mix of technical challenges and real-world examples helped make topics like digital forensics and penetration testing a lot more manageable.
Areas for ImprovementThat said, there are a couple of areas for improvement. The Learning Management System (LMS) could use some work—better design and faster performance would help a lot. Also, it would be great if there were more interactive discussions among participants to build a stronger sense of community. It’s definitely a challenging course, but it’s also really rewarding and has given me the skills and confidence to move forward in my cybersecurity career.
