The Springboard cybersecurity program was a great introductory experience for me in order to learn about cybersecurity. I was able to start from a novice level and work my way up with the through/challenging curriculum and the guidance of my mentors and the coaches offered in the program. The labs provided useful hands on learning experience for real world applications of the curriculum and tested proficiency and applicable knowledge well. The program is also timed well to be completed in a 6 month period and can be done with a full time work role.

The curriculum was not daunting and truly set you up for fruition in the Comp TIA Security+ exam. The most illuminating part of Springboard was the advice and motivation provided by my Mentor. He was able to have an extremely positive influence on my self efficacy in the cybersecurity field. Mentorship is a lost art these days and Springboard provides students with a pool of exceptional mentors. I have no regrets in applying and graduating from this institution.

Attending this program was a game-changer for my cybersecurity journey. The curriculum provided a comprehensive foundation, combining theoretical knowledge with hands-on labs and real-world scenarios. One major advantage was the supportive mentorship, which helped clarify concepts and build confidence. Additionally, the flexibility in learning allowed me to balance studies with other commitments. However, at times, I found certain modules a bit fast-paced, which required extra effort to keep up. Overall, this program was invaluable in equipping me with skills and insights crucial for the cybersecurity field.

I had no official IT experience but I was gently let into the IT world through the layer upon layer approach of Springboard. I had hands on to see the concepts in practice. I had mentors, TAs and great support staff who promptly addressed my challenges. Springboard is a people centered organization. They worked with me through phases in my private life which required my full attention like the delivery of our son. I could be present with family because Springboard has accommodations for events of life. The course materials are so empowering that I felt prepared to take CompTIA with a few weeks of preparation. Springboard has a great team of career coaches who have helped me set up a befitting Resume and a LinkedIn page. Thank you Springboard.

The cybersecurity career track program was much more difficult than I anticipated. Regardless, I was able to complete the course thanks to my mentor and assistance fom the advising team. Some things i wouldve done different:1. Utilize my mentor more. They can only help you if you ask.2. Consistency. I had some personal things get in the way of me being consistent. If I wouldve been more disciplined and consistent i wouldve finished sooner.3. Persistence. Dont give up even when you think you cant do it. Keep going.

Springboard has been the best at teaching at your own pace making it very easing to get the knowledge you need to get started into the cybersecurity field. I would highly recommend this school to my friends and peers. The labs are very fun and helpful as well.

I had the best chance to succeed with springboard, at first I had my doubts but within the first few weeks I knew this was the program for me. The curriculum was a perfect balance of push yourself and not too hard. The mentor team is where they separate themselves from the rest, every one of their mentors are extremely supportive, knowledgeable and willing to help you anytime you ask. I had some medical issues and springboard accommodation team was always there to support and assist me. If someone is considering a career in cybersecurity I would highly recommend springboard.

Pros are that the program has a great support system and a very solid curriculum. Also customer service is great and they provide a strong team of individuals to help prepare you from everything from learning the material to preparing for the job market with a series of mock interviews. resume assistance and all of that.Cons are some glitches in the INFOsec program but they are minor, and the freedom of being able to work at your own pace can work against you if you allow yourself to be distracted.
Graduate 2024
I started the program with some background in computer science so not everything I saw was brand new to me, but the program explained the majority of the concepts very well. There were many cybersecurity concepts that were brand new to me that were explained to me in a way that was easy to digest, and would be easily reviewable if necessary. You always have many options for support when you have questions in the form of advisors, a personal mentor, and many of the fellow students through the Slack app. The pacing of material is very do-able and will introduce you to a wide variety of concepts in cybersecurity so you do not need a technology background to begin this program. The concepts taught will help to prepare you to take the Security+ exam but are not enough by themselves. There are many more concepts you'll need to familiarize with so you will need a study guide from Mike Chapple/Professor Messer with some practice tests to check your own progress and understanding. Overall, I'd recommend this program to someone looking to either break into the cybersecurity field or pivot from their current career to cybersecurity. The career coaches are a big help in preparing you and giving you a lot of suggestions and advice on how to sell yourself to potential employers and improve your portfolio as a whole. Without this program I wouldn't have been able to improve my network and networking skills nearly as much as I have now.

I am extremely disappointed with the Springboard cybersecurity program. Despite their bold promise of a job guarantee, my experience has been far from reassuring. Just two weeks after my first meeting with my career mentor, it became clear that landing a cybersecurity job was unlikely, and instead, I was being steered towards tech support roles. To make matters worse, I checked Slack messages and found many participants with extensive tech support experience who are still struggling to break into cybersecurity. If Springboard is not confident in their ability to train students for the jobs they promise, they should not accept students or make such guarantees in the first place. This feels like a scam. Promising job guarantees without delivering is misleading and unfair. Prospective students deserve transparency about the real outcomes they can expect. I would not recommend this program to anyone expecting to transition into a cybersecurity career as promised.

After A Year of not landing a job, I can confidently say that this was not worth it. The school is great the people are great but there is no guarantee for landing a job. In fact, I found it almost impossible to even get an interview. I did get a few but didn't land anything. Forget about linked int. No one in tech wants to let you into the tech field. Half of the people I reached out to were either looking for a job themselves or hostile to letting "competitors" in. Most of the jobs require security clearances which no one will sponsor you for even if you have a flawless record and have never sipped an ounce of alcohol your entire life. The school doesn't have connections who are looking for graduates. You pretty much have to have a master's degree and 5+ years in tech to even get considered. If have already been in the field for years or have a related degree, it may be useful. For anyone else, save your money.

I decided to take Springboard’s cybersecurity career track because of the quick 6-months to completion timeline and the job guarantee (you get a tuition refund if you don’t find a job) which you have to qualify for. After having finished the curriculum, here are my thoughts: Pros: The support system: You get many different support outlets when you need help understanding concepts or projects. You are matched with a 1-on-1 mentor and career coaches that meet with you regularly to keep you accountable and help you achieve your career goals. The program very much teaches and instills the need to network in addition to learning. You also have a Slack channel to connect with students and peer mentors who are other Springboard alumni. The credentials: When you graduate from the program you gain 30+ projects including a capstone to start creating a project portfolio along with the CompTIA Security+ certification which is very often listed in cybersecurity job descriptions. Flexibility: In order to complete the bootcamp in 6 months, you need to dedicate at least 15-20 hours a week. They did offer me 2 months of free extensions once I completed 50% of the curriculum in a timely manner. Cons: Mentor punctuality: More than a handful of times my mentors would have to reschedule meetings or would not show up and give very little notice. They would, however, always make the effort to reschedule. I would chalk this up to the fact that the mentors in this program actually work in cybersecurity so I understand them having tough schedules to work around. I think the Springboard Cybersecurity career track is a compelling bootcamp option because of its wholistic approach to helping you get into the industry backed with the safety and accountability of the job guarantee.

The only cons to the bootcamp are the fact that the labs are simple click and post labs. Outside of this, the resources availble to help grow, amazing mentors with current experience in the field, career coaches with experience in the job market, and full control of how to manage time and generous payment options, all contribute to how amazing Springboard is for anyone getting into cybersecurity. Furthermore, they also prepare you to take the Security + and pay giving you the ultimate starter kit to embark on your job search.

From the very beginning, the enrollment process was smooth and straightforward. The user-friendly platform made it easy to navigate through courses, assignments, and additional resources. The course material was well-organized and up-to-date, reflecting the latest trends and knowledge in the field. One of the highlights of my experience was the instructors. They were knowledgeable, approachable, and always willing to provide assistance and feedback. The interactive nature of the classes, including discussion forums and live sessions, created a sense of community and allowed for meaningful interactions with both instructors and fellow students.

I recently completed the Springboard Cyber Security Career Track bootcamp, and I couldn't be more satisfied with the experience. The curriculum was incredibly thorough, covering all the essential aspects of cybersecurity, and the hands-on exercises were invaluable in helping me truly understand the material. One of the standout features of the bootcamp is the support system. Whenever I faced challenges, the Slack channels were a lifesaver. Students and Peer Mentors were always ready to help with any questions or issues. Additionally, having an assigned mentor for regular meetings provided personalized guidance and support throughout the program. The structure and pacing of the program were also well-designed. It's self-paced, allowing flexibility, but you need to complete it within six months unless you opt to pay for additional months. This setup kept me motivated and on track without feeling overwhelmed. Coming into the bootcamp with no prior cybersecurity background, I was amazed at how much I learned and how my skills improved. The Capstone Project, where we conducted a simulated penetration test of a fictional company, was a highlight. It provided a comprehensive learning experience, from executing the pen test to writing an executive summary as well as a detailed technical report. I would highly recommend the Springboard Cyber Security bootcamp to anyone looking to switch gears and enter the cybersecurity field. Whether you need to brush up on your skills or start from scratch, and especially if you don't have time for a four-year bachelor's degree, this bootcamp is the next best thing. Ken Bliss

This boot camp has changed my life for the better. I now have a new valuable skill set to employ as a career and a hobby. It has allowed me to change career paths from one that was stagnant and monotonous, to one that is challenging, intriguing, and rewarding.

I just completed Springboard's Cyber Security Career Track program and am very happy with the results. The program offers one-on-one bi-weekly and on-demand mentorship with industry professionals, monthly and on-demand career coaching, as well as comprehensive training in the basics of Cyber Security. The coursework prepared me well for the CompTIA Security+ exam, which I was able to pass on my first try without ANY professional IT experience! Additionally, the cost of the program is reasonable, includes the cost of the CompTIA exam certification, and offers a Job Guarantee. I would highly recommend Springboard to anyone looking to make a career change or develop a new skill.
