Cyber Security Analyst

Had a great time learning about Cyber with CNL. Instructors were knowledgeable, the staff was very supportive and I still have a network of students I have been studying with. The best thing about CNL is having exposure to the industry's known tools even upon graduation.  

CyberNow Labs company’s cybersecurity program is excellent and unique. It has provided me with a strong foundation in cybersecurity and also real world experience to add to my resume. The instructors are incredible and have expertise in this field. I highly recommend it to people who want hands on real world experience. 

I deeply regret investing time and money ($5,000) which I paid upfront to CNL. I feel they knowingly oversold the potential of the program by claiming that access to tools and hands on experience would help me stand out as a job candidate. What sold me was CEO Gave Schrade’s false statistic of an 86% job placement rate, which is actually closer to 2-3%.  You can see the career placement posts on LinkedIn and count them which is a very modest average 2-4 per month which is in sharp contrast to an 86% success rate, in which there would be career placement announcements daily.   In my cohort of 40, only one person landed a role even four months after the cohort ended, which he did by his own efforts and with no help from the school.  CNL does not have any relationships with any companies, so the parade of logos featured on the website is highly misleading.   The thing I find most concerning is that the program also targets green card holders by telling them they can help students with VISA challenges when virtually every job application screens for VISA status.  There is a growing number of students who are filing reports with consumer and government agencies for these practices. The instruction is great and there is support outside of the classroom.  You do have access to Splunk, Sentinel One, CrowdStrike, QRadar, Proofpoint, and Armis in which you get to practice triaging real alerts.  However, the tuition you are paying is for these licenses and instructions only.  There are no career placement services as advertised during the Zoom info sessions. You get one resume review, access to Huntr to track your applications (which has little value since LinkedIn also does this) and access to mentor sessions where you can practice role playing for job interviews that you will never secure. CNL is praying upon people with the deep ambition to transition careers with full knowledge that they will not succeed and do not have the relationships to help students secure careers. 

 Completing this 6-month cybersecurity BootCamp was a game-changer for my career. The hands-on experience, coupled with exceptional mentorship, gave me the skills and confidence needed to land a job immediately after graduation. I highly recommend this program to anyone serious about breaking into cybersecurity!

CyberNow Labs was a God send for me. I had wanted to get into Cyber security for a while but didn't know where to start. I got an email about the course and I applied for it. Received a phone call and spoke with someone regarding the course and told them by background. Also I told them that I have an active security clearance. That's when they said I might qualify for the scholarship being offer though that program. Well I got the scholarship and my journey started with CNL. I have been in IT for over 30 years. But the experience that I have gain attending CNL really blew my mind. The staff and the instructors are the best. They are very passionate, very knowledgeable and excellent at what they do. The tools and techniques that I have acquired, now really enhance my overall skills. I now have the tools and experience to be a valuable asset in the Cyber space.The course is setup so that you as the individual can become a successful Cybersecurity Analyst. I was able to get a new job after a few months in the course and now my job is going to be adding a cyber security appliance when the new system is installed. I am one of the graduates of Cybernow Labs and graduated in May 2023. The courses and classes are professional, but they keep telling you and making you believe you will land a job right after completing the course. During the course, I learned and experienced many industry tools, and they also help you to pass the CompTIA Security+ exam. However, after the course ends, they stop working with you, and you're alone in your job search. All they care about is getting you involved and getting your money, not helping you to get a job.I've experienced that many companies require AWS or Azure experience, which this course never mentioned. You need to acquire them by yourself.It's been a year for me and still have not been hired. I would not recommend this course if you are a self-learner.

Cybernow Labs is a fantastic training program. It will give you the skills you need to go forward with a cybersecurity career. They provide a real-world SOC environment for you to work in. When you get out of the training and start working on real tickets you will quickly be set up to handle SOC Analyst roles. The instructors are excellent and the communications are top notch.

This means practicing in your free time, working with other analysts to hone your skills, and being interactive at every session.I promise the hard work will pay off. I ended up getting a job the week after the program ended. It took dedication and drive to be the best analyst I could be, and it is now paying off.

I began a career transition where I did not have any formal IT experience and went into cybersecurity. I was able to learn in their program to the point where I became Security+ certified, and was able to learn industry tools inside of their SOC. It was a very positive experience and CyberNow Labs has many helpful and insightful instructors and staff that led me on my journey to become a SOC Analyst. These amazing instructors took a self-taught red teamer with a 10 year age gap into a SOC analyst. I got a job halfway through the program. The exposure this program gave me to the real tools being used saved me on multiple occasions. I was promoted after 1 day because of how experienced I had become through this program. This coding bootcamp taught me so much. I was very hesitant to take the course at first however,  the instructor made it so easy for me to learn with step by step instructions and all the materials that were provided made it so much easier to learn everything. Everything was very well organized and enjoyed all of the sessions. 

 This cybersecurity program is challenging and requires a certain amount of dedication, persistence and sacrifice to come out as a successful analyst who is ready to hit the ground running as a cybersecurity professional. The curriculum starting with the Security+ portion, the hands-on experience with the security tools and the skills that you gain throughout this course is 100% relevant to what you will be doing as a cybersecurity professional in a real working environment. The hands-on portion of this course is incredible and invaluable. You will be working in a live security operation center environment where you will be doing the same sorts of investigations, remediation's and analysis that real analysts do daily. This experience will give you the ability to speak the cyber security language which is incredibly beneficial when it comes to the job search.Each instructor that will be teaching you during this course brings a different method, style and perspective which kept the different topics that are discussed throughout feeling fresh. The instructors at CyberNow Labs are wonderful.The SoC Manager; Richard Chapman is great.  The perspective that he brings to CyberNow Labs is an enormous asset to not only the academy itself but to each student going through the course. As a graduate of the program, he understands what is needed to be a successful graduate in the cybersecurity field as well as what is needed to make it as an analyst. His transparency, honesty and willingness to help was extremely beneficial to me throughout this program. Overall I was very satisfied with this program and would recommend it to any individual who is serious about making a career change. 

I had a chance to join Cybernow Labs FAMILY and was being able to enhance my knowledge about Cybersecurity. The reason why I described CNL as a family is because we are really bond together with our group members and instructors. They are always on the other side of the line either via zoom, whatsapp group or slack channel. I've never had a situation where I couldn't get answers to my questions. Both instructors and course owners can provide you with answers to all kinds of your questions. Of course, I have to mention that this course is an area that requires a little more effort and dedication.
