I really love how the course has been structured and the content delivery of the instructors. The availability of labs without much strict restrictions on time have been very helpful to get your hands dirty which is the best way to learn. I have been impressed by the dedication and personal feedback from the project reviewers on our submissions. The projects have been helpful in creating my portfolio on GitHub.

Convolutional Neural Networks(CNNs) were looking like a mystery to me at first. But as I went through the course, it started to look like a piece of cake! I also love the process of wring the proposal and final report papers for capstone project.. it gets you thinking through your process and planning like a pro!

Machine Learning Nanodegree

This Nanodegree was my first introduction to Machine Learning as I come from a Marketing background. The curriculum is very complete, as it covers everything you would like to know about machine learning. The projects they propose are the best I've found across different learning platforms: they are challenging, forcing you to really understand the content, and apply the algorithms yourself. Once you have finished the course you really feel confident about your knowledge and skills to apply for jobs. In my case, thanks to this Nanodegree, I was able to get into an MSc in Artificial Intelligence.

Really Good User Experience and Curriculum

First and foremost, Udacity has great content including their videos and their code repositories which are hosted on GitHub.  The explanations are not overly complex (if sometimes a little contrived).  There are periodic quizzes in the content to help solidify concepts along with solutions if it is confusing.

The curriculum itself is well-organized and (from what I can tell) is organized in modular blocks so that the same module can be applied in different Nanodegrees.  This would be a con if I was taking other Nanodegrees and discovered that I had already learned about a specific module previously.  However, I do like the structure of it and it makes sense in the order in which it is presented.

Lastly, the in-browser Jupyter Notebook experience on Udacity cannot be beat.  It is very easy to use and the autosave is trustworthy (I never experienced a loss of work when closing the browser or losing my connection).

Great Course

I took the Nanodegree Machine Learning course in 8 months, I started knowing very little about Python but in the end was able to put machine learning models into production. In addition I participated in several challenges in Kaggle.

The great difference of the course is the exercises that are corrected by highly qualified instructors.

Pretty cool program!

I completed Machine Learning Nanodegree Program from Udacity in November 2018. I learned quite a lot about Machine Learning through lecture videos and projects. The lecture videos are well done and instructors as well as instruction videos convey knowledge effectively.

I recommend this program from Udacity for Intermidiate to Advanced knowledge level in Machine Learning.

One of the best of it's kind

I've been doing MOOCs for a while now on many different websites. I had the opportunity to take a Nanodegree course on Udacity in Machine Learning Engineering. I'm here to give feedback on that, spoiler alert, it was one of the best.

Curriculum: Udacity curriculum is one of the best. All of them are created by professionals who are experts in their respected fields. The curriculum is updated regularly so that students get the experience of what's currently trending in the industry.

Instructors: Udacity has highly qualified instructors. All of them are mostly employees are Udacity and they have a good selection process hiring instructors. All the projects are manually evaluated by instructors and proper feedback is given.

Quality of course: Every course is divided into multiple sections and each section focuses on many different topics. After every topic, you are given a quiz to evaluate yourself. All the videos are well crafted with great animation and are very compact which makes them great to watch.

Job Assistance: The job assistance is not that great compared to the actual course. Don't get me wrong, Udacity provides a number of facilities to get their students hired including. Services like Linkedin profile review, Github profile review and, resume reviews are very helpful. However, they do not actually provide much career assistance apart from that. Their forum and job board isn't much different from any other job site in the market. I wish the job assistance were better.

If you really want to learn something then Udacity is the place to go. They will give you a very high standard of education although it might cost you more than others in the category. You will be able to break into any field with confidence with a Nanodegree from Udacity. I'd definitely recommend to everyone from beginner to experts.

Cohesive with industry standards

I completed the Nano degree program on Ml ,i am a working professional in a multinational bank, after this course I can say that the quality, standards and the subject delivery is as per industry demands. The best part is it is well structured suited to understand the subject step wise.
The instructors led sessions helps to deep dive to understand the problems, their pace of delivering is quite good.

Machine Learning Nanodegree

I learned a lot through projects. The instructional videos with exercises were high quality as well. However, few videos done by instructors from Georgia Tech were boring but they removed them from the recent course content.
So, main value of this program compared to other programs are the projects and their feedback. They give you detailed feedback even on your code and suggest ways to improve even the things that I did right. I haven't seen this in any other online course and I learned a lot through it.

The Nanodegree teaches you what you need to know

The Nanodegree teaches you what you need to know in a condensed way from industry experts. Nanodegrees have really good content and projects. You will surely learn a lot. It teaches example- and project-based. Also, you have to build a handful of projects. Keep in mind, even though a Nanodegree is a solid foundation, it is up to you to make something out of it. There is far more to learn.

The best place to learn new technologies

I have tried out several MOOCs for several technology related courses. What makes Udacity stand apart are as follows:
1. Projects and assignments which are relevant to the current industry based trends. In other words, the projects are in line with what you would work on after joining a company.
2. Excellent to the point course materials, videos, lectures and exercises. Apart from being simple and easy to understand, you will grab the core concepts and at the same time go straight to things that you will need in order to work on a real world problem.
3. Very good alumni as well as job assistance support.

Machine Learning Engineer Course Experience

Good:

The curriculum was broad and quite complete. You get started with the first module of introducing machine learning in general. Then you will be exposed to probably most types of machine learning techniques. From supervised learning to deep learning. So quite worthwhile if you want one course to get know of broad these machine learning techniques.  Another good thing about the Udacity course was, the feedback given after submission. The feedback from markers can help you to learn and allows you to correct misunderstood concepts.

Bad:

There are coursework or projects for each machine learning technique module. It is a positive point for this online course. However, some project did not expect you to make a fully functional end product. For example, the reinforcement learning project we have to try implementing this technique to fly a simulated drone. So it ended up many students complaint or got confused why they couldn't make it work. Then the instructor advises us that they didn't expect us to submit one that really works. Thus, I felt that some coursework or project was not well planned. or not fit for the purpose. Basically, if you look for building something amazing and works to show your employer or friends then maybe not as you expected.

I am generally happy with Udacity as I took machine learning course from there. It was not a very deep course instead it offers some basic familiarity with the topic and you can dive deeper in to the details as you might need in future. Overall, I am happy with investement I made, however I haven't got a machine learning job yet.

The Nanodegree is a good stepping stone to get started in Machine Learning, however, I found the lessons and explanations to be lacking foundations compared to other courses in the area (such as "Statistical learning" from Stanford U or any University course I attended).

I also think that there is a long way for them to help you with changing career or finding new job opportunities
