i am Mafdy magdy, a musician and an android developer from Egypt, in 2018 i applied for having a free google Android Developer scholarship from Udacity, i took an android developer job straight after graduation and i had little experience, it was very hard trying to learn and progress my career in android development, i got an email that i have been accepted in a challenge scholarship, i was among 10000 students and the goal was to finish the course content and be active and helpful with other students, after 3 months i received an email that i am being offered the scholarship for free, it was one of my happiest days, for 6 months a lot had to be done, finishing the course on time and submitting a lot of projects to be approved, but during that time, the Slack community with the mentors and students was the best i have ever seen, the experience was so much needed, the amount of information and experience there was a lot, i learned a lot from the questions of the other students and from the responses of the mentors, also i had my private mentor which was very helpful when running into trouble, he also helped a lot to advance my career i asked him a lot about android development and he was happy to answer, Udacity is an experience which i can't recommend enough, their android course material is perfect and updated regularly with the latest in android development, students and mentors are there to help and motivate you, in the end i have learned a lot and that helped me in my current job and my personal music related projects.

I have attended the Nano-degree program for Android Development, I can definitely say that today I am here because I have attended this Nano-degree program

Udacity's Android nanodegree is excellent. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Instructors and videos were very clear, and tasks (or "homework") were always relevant. The best about it was developing a project and getting feedback on it very quickly: even when submitting a project by night, I always had feedback the next morning.
Students should be aware though, this course does demand your time. I had to work evey week and weekend during my Nanodegree, sacrificing some social events (obviously), but thankfully not so much that it took my family time. In the end it is hard work (at least for me), but it is worth it.
This said, I do think the curriculum can improve. In fairness, Udacity always seems preoccupied with updating the curriculum to keep things relevant. But I would have enjoyed this more if it was in Kotlin instead of Java (personal preference). And I would have really liked more topics like bluetooth, camera apis, and more. Overall this curriculum seems to me to be good for a Junior developer, but that depends on each company. In my experience senior developers have deep knowledge on the specifics of the app they are developing (for example, a senior of a bluetooth app would have knowledge of bluetooth apis, not necessarily any other complex api). Probably udacity needs another nanodegree in the "Advanced" section for this complex APIs.
Job assistance was superb. I was not looking for a new job but still the things I learned were useful in my current job. And from experience in job searching, I do think Udacity's help and courses on job interviews and job applications are very good.
For me, Udacity is the best online platform for learning tech stuff formally and serioulsy. My nanodegree experience proves it to me.

I have been developing Android applications in the past as a hobby. When Google announced to partner with Udacity for this course, I got very excited and had to try this course.
It was an awesome experience. In my opinion, the course is based on the actual career path of an android developer. Generally, an android developer starts his career with making simple basic apps, then moves to support multiple devices, fixing bugs , then the new android wear apps and material theme and then create an app of his own idea and involved in from designing UI to final development. This course does the same thing . I have learned a lot from this course. The reviewers are very good and give many suggestions to improve your coding style.
After completing this course, I feel I can develop any android application on my own. I don't need any server guy, designers, and testers. That is the real benefit of this course.

Developed by Google and provided by Udacity, the Android Developer Nanodegree was a comprehensive Android development education experience. The projects are portfolio ready and depending on the effort you put into extras such as design and development, they are viable apps ready for the play store. Very good experience overall.

I never understood programming in general until I took the Android Basics course on Udacity. The instructors hand-fed us with concepts that were very easy to understand and digest and the curriculum was arranged in a way that ensured maximum engagement and benefit. Also, I was encouraged to learn at my own pace and I can't stress enough how much this helped me. When I had a problem and I was stuck, the mentors were available 24/7 and it was good to be able to chat with them and receive pointers from them... This has been my best online school.
Graduate 2016
I gained a lot of techniques and some design patterns after I graduated in 2016 with an Android Nanodegree course.
I thank you to all developers from Google and Udacity in preparing the step-by-step guides in learning Android. You guys are priceless..

I joined Android Developer Nanodegree while in college and it was one of the best decisions since it helped me to gain the real-world exposure of building Android apps that can scale for millions of users. There are many online boot camps but I didn't found anywhere the level of professionalism that Udacity provides.
Currently, I am working as Software Engineer (Android/iOS) in Aptener Mechatronics (CES 2020 Startup Innovation Award Winner) and Udacity made it possible for a college student like me who didn't have the idea of "What Android is" to become an expert in Android.
Thanks to Udacity

Udacity's Android Developer Nanodegre is a great set of courses where you improve your skills from a basic intermediate level to an advanced intermediate level. Contents are relevant and lessons are clear and well explained.
This program includes projects to put into practice the concepts and skills learned. Each of these projects is assessed by a reviewer and must pass a rubric in order to be approved.
Udacity programs also include access to a chat where you can interact with mentors, people who can guide you and answer your questions. This is especially useful while completing the projects. There's also a career guidance section where you can learn some tips about how to present your CV, github portfolio, elevator pitch, among other topics.
While I was studying this program, I was working as a customer service representative, however, after I completed my studies, I organized my CV and got my first job as Android Developer. I'm really happy with the results.

The oportunities Udacity provides are amazing. I've already done 2 Nanodegrees and using the learned in my day by day job. I believe the quiality of my work is much better after passing courses in Udacity. The investment in the Nanodegrees paid out as faster and more robust solutions from my side resulting in happier clients. Course materials are perfect, videos professionally done, exercises build up complexity as you go, content is oriented on quality. I'm always trying to find time to start new course and recommending Udacity to colleagues.

Udacity is doing a phenomenal role in providing quality content from Tech Giants, making its students Industry Ready. The mentoring service is also very good where we get one-on-one mentorship, that too making these service available 24x7 since the mentors are from across the globe. The course contents are designed for everyone so that even an absolute beginner can learn easily. There are many courses that are specially designed for the beginner so that they get the concepts cleared from scratch.
I am Google India Scholar, pursued Android Developer Nanodegree. I had a very good mentorship where I will get my queries clarified within minutes, still, I could remember that the maximum time taken to reply was about 30 minutes. Being part of Udacity was not only this, but the community we had was very great. We had loads of interaction, discussions, and fun. The cool part was I made friends from all over India Just by being part of this community. I also a Python Foundation Nanodegree Graduate.
Now I am very confident in working with Android and also very comfortable learning new stuff on my own.
Udacity is the must go online course for me, to make myself Industry ready!

I had a very nice experience with Udacity.
It was my very first experience with the online courses and from the start I understood how Udacity was the best choose I had made.
The informal online videos, made from professional teacher but also from professional developer, make learning interesting and very productive.
The tutors/mentors follow us and track our learning, in my personal experience they motivated me and made possible to reach the certification. Their work was also 1 to 1 or in community.
The plus for Udacity I think is the community, infact many people around the world share their experience, but they also helps other students. After years I'm still in contact with a lot of collegue, and still we help each other. Udacity learn us how to share our knowledge.
At last but not least, Udacity have a very good career section where students can improve their portfolio, CV, linkedIn profile and many others..
I had a beautiful experience in Udacity, thanks to them I could change my job and role after only 1 month from the certification day.
In my near future I will start other interesting courses.

The Android Developer Nanodegree program empowered me with the necessary skills I need as an Android developer. As someone who was just getting into tech, I found the program really useful as it helped me get comfortable with learning a lot of new things.
The instructors were really helpful, taking out time to explain concepts, and giving adequate guidance. The course content is one I would describe as very rich, and it is also well organised. With quizzes and projects, I was able to put the lessons into practice, and I knew I was making progress. There were times I got frustrated, but the mentors, and fellow students in the student hub helped in such situations.
I would always recommend Udacity for anyone who needs to learn software development, because of the reasons I stated above, and most especially because Udacity is particular about following best practices.
