The fun learning environment, coupled with charismatic and knowledgeable instructors, created an atmosphere of excitement and camaraderie. The curriculum, was designed to teach us step-by-step what is programming and computer science as a whole. Great environment!

The programming bootcamp was a transformative journey, blending intensity with incredible learning. It posed challenges that often felt daunting, yet overcoming them led to a profound sense of accomplishment. The depth of the curriculum pushed me to my limits, fostering a dynamic and immersive learning environment. While the difficulty was palpable, the rewards were equally significant. The camaraderie within the cohort and the guidance from knowledgeable instructors enhanced the overall experience. This bootcamp not only equipped me with practical coding skills but also instilled resilience and problem-solving acumen. In hindsight, the difficulty served as a crucible, refining my capabilities and preparing me for real-world scenarios. Overall, it was a demanding yet immensely gratifying adventure that left an indelible mark on my journey into the world of programming.

I don't say this lightly, the 14 weeks spent here is something I never guessed would be this life changing. I feel like this was the school I wished I had as a kid. The openness and care for the students all of the staff have is something that's hardly seen anywhere else. The classes themselves were structured really well, I feel like I went on a learning journey along with my classmates, starting from the basics of the basics to real world tools we use everyday, no class felt like it didn't belong, they all felt connected and helped us understand what came next.

The whole bootcamp experience was incredible. From the teachers and staff, and the environment they created, to the other students, I had a blast and learned an incredible amount of information in such a short period of time. These 14 weeks were one of the best experiences in my life.

Your most important requirement: Give me your money first, be cool or get lostDuring classes you're highly pressured to be super happy and be the coolest guy/girl of all times. This results in you feeling that you've been placed in the same group of the top comedians of Portugal, but the reality is that either people are faking due to the pressure to be like that or either they are high. On friday afternoons most probably they are both and also drunk. In the tests prior to your admittance to the 14 week course they tell you explicitly that they're also screening your coolness, which if you fail you're out. That's the first warning, if you're a reserved or shy person (and can fake it in the initial screening tests) you'll feel yourself completely like a fish out of water, getting frustrated for being forced to be something/someone you aren't every single day.Overcrowded classesClasses are overcrowded and incredibly noisy. You just can't concentrate/focus on the subject being given. It's amazing that people spend 8000€ on an intensive course and behave like they're forced to attend some free course and have zero consideration for their peers. So many times it seems the class is totally out of control, what a mess! It's not uncommon for on of the top so called Jedis (supposedly top teachers) to burnout and disappear at half course never to be seen again, there's no backup, leaving the remainder of the course to be dealt by the less experienced teachers, the "Padawans". Another mess!Zero documentationIf you thing at some point they'll provide you any documentation of the slides they present to you during classes, you're so wrong!Either you get organized and take screenshots of all the slides, be prepared in advance to do data scrapping to save it, or wait until one of your peers do it for you and pass it to you. You can even google it to find those same slides somewhere published for free on the web. It'll save you 8000€.Once you have that "documentation" you'll find out that it's good only for nothing except attending the classes, being completely useless as support in your future career.Damn! They don't even give you ANY CERTIFICATION in the end of the course, much less any documentation! The only thing "proving" you've been there is all their branding in your Linkedin profile, as they teach you to do.Speed and abandonmentIn the first two or three weeks the teaching in so slow paced that it makes you despair, then suddenly they step full on the gas pedal and you just can't keep up with it.In the end of each class the "teachers" tell you to solve a problem and literally abandon the class to solve it, not being uncommon being completely clueless, being half the class with no choice other than take some indian guys classes on youtube to try to even try to understand what is being asked to be done. The other half just goes home to do the same but in a more calm environment. Some outliers, revolted with the situation, prefer even to play online games and scream intentionally to disturb the people who try to do something.Job procurementThis part is the biggest joke. You're on your own, there's no job procurement. There's the class to teach you how to enhance your Linkedin and the job and basically that's it. I consider this class the most important in the whole course as it indeed improved my visibility. Nevertheless, beware that their teachings are more about using YOU to advertise THEM, rather than to help you. Also, many companies will REJECT YOU when you tell that you've been on Academia de Código. If you're lucky, you're placed in the batch of students to have an interview with Deloitte even before the course ends and you think "well, it's starting better than expected" but then you find out that Deloitte pays Academia de Código for the privilege of screening on firsthand the next batch of cheap labor. After you get the interview you find out that their main goal is to hire the potentially cheapest guys out there, not the best. You'll soon find out why such a big company has zero talent retention capacity after one year. From the part of Academia de Código, now being rebranded as Code For All, their main concern from their former students is for them to leave a good review so other fools fall for it.Final thoughtsTheir main goal is your money, if you learn anything it's secondary.Finding a job is totally up to you. If you think that you enter this course to get some help in being hired, you're wrong. Their 98% chance of being hired is totally bogus, they just take that number out of their magician's hat.The course content is really poor and their teaching method is ridiculous, you wont learn nothing there, and if you think you can enhance your current knowledge, you'll leave it even more confused and lost than you were before.I've spent 8000€ on this and not even if I attended 4 courses I would not see where those 8000€ were spent on. It weren't spent on you, that's for sure! But not all was totally completely bad in these 14 weeks! You can make some friends who shared with you the same pains in those lost 14 weeks (and 8000€ not in your pocket anymore) and in the last day you have one free pizza during the "Hackaton" competition, the only free thing they'll ever give you! In the end wins the team that was more consistent in being a "Puxa-saco" during the whole course. Before I chose Academia de Código I also investigated the reviews, and as with so many other stuff, when something is too good to be true, it's really too good to be true. Now I know why! Since there are so many students graduating, thus the world of contacts getting smaller and smaller, who will dare about giving bad reviews without being ostracised? Oh yeah, that's right! It's funny that even charging 8000€ per student and having loads of people coming in and multiplying new rooms for the classes simultaneously, they are still broke and annoy us with emails begging us for more money disguised as "crowdfunding to help new students" for the next courses! It makes me think that their change in brand name (and perhaps creating a new company) is a way to run away from their debtors, who knows?I bet they'll change their name again in less than 3 years and repeat the cycle! You've been warned. Think twice and check eg. 42 Lisboa. At least it's completely free and if it happens to not fit your needs you can simply jump out without the feeling of being ripped off!

I went in with the sole expectation of getting a better job once the bootcamp was finished and it completely turned my perspective around. They have a very inclusive culture and wonderful teachers that show a real passion for coding which in turn also gives you a passion for coding and learning. You are always encouraged to ask questions and the teachers always want to make sure that you have understood the core concepts of the class before moving on. The curriculum is extensive for 14 weeks and gives you a good insight on the more conceptual aspects of programming besides just teaching you how to code. The job support is fantastic and continues well past the bootcamp term date. Highly recommend it if you want/need a complete life change!

It was an incredibly enriching experience, both academically and personally. The Academia de Código not only focuses on theoretical content, but also on soft skills. It makes all the difference on the job market.

A lot of knowledge is acquired in 14 week's, the teaching method used is nothing like we are use to, at least for me, and i think should be applied in schools n general as it allows everyone to adapt and see things from a more real perspective.A very helpful team supporting on the lookout for new jobs and moving into a new work field.

I joined this challenge to start a new life and to rebuild my skillset in the professional world. What I found during and after the bootcamp is that I can no longer see the old me, meaning the mission was accomplished. The overall experience through the bootcamp was smooth but quite fast. I felt like a moving train that never stopped. As long as you are inside, the trip is gonna be held by the teachers and they will get you where you need to be.It's really important to state that hard work is still needed as the course goes over 25 skills and technologies and most of them are quite complex and hard to get at first glimpse.
Graduate 2023
Undoubtedly one of the best experiences of my life, it managed to exceed all expectations in various ways. The atmosphere created around programming and the positive environment make Academia de Código stand out from all other bootcamps. Do not hesitate to join, it was a great choice.
Graduate 2023
The bootcamp is very intense, you really have to come prepared for 14 weeks of having time for not much more than the activities that involve the bootcamp. Sleeping is essential but there are times where you wont get much of it. In the end you'll be ready to engage the job market and you'll learn to learn. In the end approaching new languages and tools won't be as much of a challenge.
Graduate 2023
these have been the most difficult 14 weeks I've had so far, but as well as being difficult they've also been fun.It was a very good environment where I learnt a lot and where I was lucky enough to be with very good colleagues and teachers. All in all, it was a very good experience and if I could go back and do it again, I would.x

Amazing and completely learning experience.I did programming courses in the past ,including college level, and was completely amazed how superior the learning experience was, maybe even more important than the amazing syllabus was the fact that you are treated like a person and not a simple number on. a sheet.

My experience during this 14 weeks was amazing!!! What i thought this would be, and how transforming this could be... Way better than i could image! You have no idea how can you learn in just 14 weeks, i had 0 experience with programming, and now i feel i know way more things i expected to know after the 14 weeks. If you are thinking about what school should you go. You know what to choose! AC all the way!

3,5 months that feel like 10, but also feel like 1!It's crazy. You learn so much in such a short span of time, that one week can feel like a lot of time. However, it is so intense and immersive (all you think about while you're in the bootcamp) that time flies.
Student 2023
This bootcamp has a well thought system in which you'll have several different tools in your disposal in order for you to be able to learn better, from very comfortable classrooms, good computers, great teachers, exceptional company culture with a free spirit, the space and classes allow you to freely express yourself like you never thought you were going to be able to do and the space also allows you to relax in order to be able to endure the tough 14th weeks of intense learning!
Graduate 2023
It was an immersive 14-week course, but with many points in its favour, but just as many points against. We began by immersing ourselves in the various fields of fullstack developer, but without ever being able to get a foothold so that we could grow, because the time given to us for this is too little, with theory, yes, but a lot of which we don't even take advantage of, which we could use to delve into other fields, which we would probably get more out of. The slides we're given are confusing, unintuitive and sometimes more confusing than helpful. When it comes to the exercises, most of the time they don't help at all, so you spend more time researching how to do the exercise than actually doing it. We could have had more support from the teachers, especially for those students who had more difficulty, but often we only had a maximum of two teachers for 24 students, most of whom needed help. The feeling remains that there was more to do, more could have been done and more could have been achieved. Perhaps we need to rethink the way things are taught and definitely rethink the slides, urgently. As for the rooms, the uncomfortable chairs, for the amount of hours spent in front of a computer, especially for the amount we are asked to pay, I think some ergonomic comfort should be given.Translated with www.DeepL.com/Translator (free version)
